Following fruit trees were closely monitored between May and October 2015: Actinidia chinensis, peach, dogwood, pear, mountain ash, quince, almond, medlar, mulberry, juneberry, sea buckthorn and Rosa villosa. The most serious disease fire blight was not observerd at all, probably because all quince orchards nearby were chopped down several years ago. However there were other serious diseases observerd such as fading of annual shoot of sea buckthorn and mildew on juneberry. Amelanchier lamarcki species were affected more with mildew than A. alnifolia species. There were abiotic disorder observed on mountain ash due to lack of minerals, together with ringfleck mosaic. The least important disease symptoms were observed on peach, dogwood, pear, almond, mountain ash, quince a Rosa villosa. Medlar and mulberry were free from all diseases. All in all, the most important is to keep the right cultivation technique and early removal of infected and cracked branches. Juneberry also requires chemical treatment.
Work and the meaning of life
Korbelová, Pavla ; Rymeš, Milan (referee) ; Riegel, Karel (advisor)
The thesis on the topic work and the meaning of life is focused on two important areas of psychology, one of which belongs to general psychology and the other one to work and organizational psychology. Although both areas might seem to be very different, this thesis shows their mutual relationship and deals with ways they can influence each other. Work can be a significant source of meaning in life thanks to the fact that it provides the possibility to satisfy not only the lowest but also the highest human needs in the current world. Except of the above mentioned relation between work and the meaning of life the thesis points out many aspects that these two areas, the meaning of life and work, have in common. It also highlights the similarity of consequences caused by their absence. The theoretical part includes three chapters. The first one deals with the meaning of life, its significance for individual's life and its separate aspects. The switch to the issue of work is made in the sub-section about work as a possible source of meaning in life. The second chapter refers to components of the relationship of personality and work and connects them to the meaning of life and the meaning of work itself. The third chapter is focused on meaningfulness of work and items that influence meaningful work. Results of...

Ontogenická rezistence k Venturia inaequalis (Cke.) Wint.
Korbelová, Pavla
The Bachelor Work describes the disease of apple scab and characterises the originator of this disease - the fungus Venturia inaequalis. The possibilities of both direct and indirect protection are mentioned. The work concentrates on breeding for resistance, particularly with the use of the gene Vf (Rvi6), including the problems connected with breaking through the resistance by physiologic races of the pathogen. The emphasis is placed on ontogenic resistance, ie. the resistance influenced by age as the ability of all plants or their parts to resist and tolarate the disease in connection with the age and maturation of the host tissues. Young apple tree leaves can be susceptible to apple scab (Venturia inaequalis) but when full-grown they become more resistant to the infection. The practical use of ontogenic resistance lies in the potential for the breeding of resistant varieties, the introduction of which into cultivation will have a positive effect on agricultural yield and will also bring great benefits to agriculturists.
