Possibilities of integrating Art Education with the Czech Language and Literature Education
Kohl, Lukáš ; Fišerová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Fulková, Marie (referee)
The thesis deals with the possibilities of integrating art education and Czech language and literature education. It is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part both subjects are introduced. The chapters devoted to art education deal with the factors that may influence its position in Czech schools. These chapters also deal with the main areas that art education is focused on (fine arts and visual culture) and with the didactic approaches that can be applied in art education. The chapters about Czech language and literature education describe its three components (language education, literature education and communication and style education) and relate them to the content of art education. In the first section of the practical part of this thesis, specific school activities of an interdisciplinary nature are proposed. Also, general principles are suggested on the basis of which a teaching unit integrating art education with Czech language and literature education can be built. In the second section, a plan for a teaching unit on the topic of illustration is presented, followed by a record of two implementations of the planned teaching unit, in which pedagogical action research was carried out to improve and streamline future teaching. Reflection on the teaching...

The purpose of my work was to present the concept of archetype and its possible meanings. The second purpose was to define literature archetypes of European fairy tales with regards to their functions and to gender, stereotypical and visual ideas associated with them. The end of the theoretic part of the thesis is dedicated to Czech visual artists and to their ways of working with fairy-tale topics or motives. I emphasize the influence of Symbolism and Art Nouveau, but illustrations of fairy-tale books since the beginning of the 20th century are emphasized as well. In the next two parts of my thesis I suggest possible realization of the topic of fairy tale in didactic series (for the school subjects of Czech language and literature and Art) and I also present my literature and art project - an author's fairy-tale book. In all the parts of my thesis I deal with the problem of...
