Employee privacy protection

This thesis deals with the issue of privacy in the workplace. Employees expect to have some privacy at work, even when they are using the employer's equipment. On the other hand, employers need basic information about their employees and they have the right to know that work is being done properly and efficiently. Finding the balance between the interests of both sides is quite complicated and the disputes regarding privacy infringement in the workplace are often decided by highest courts. In concrete, this thesis deals with the processing of personal data in the employment context and with the surveillance of employees. The aim of this thesis is to provide a comprehensive overview of this issue and assess the current level of protection of privacy of employees in Czech Republic. The thesis is composed of nine chapters. The first introductory part of this thesis (chapters 2 - 4) describes the fundamental human right to privacy and personal data protection in general. Chapter Two characterises the right to privacy and chapter Three gives an overview of relevant legal sources. Legal protection of domains in relation to the right of indication

Legal protection of domains in relation to the right of indication The subject of this thesis is a legal protection of domain names. Domain names are used as humanly memorable names for Internet and serve as simple address to access websites. Each domain name has to be unique, it is not possible to register two or more identical names. This makes them very valuable and worth of protecting. The registration process of domain names is very simple and cheap, mostly based on the principle "first come, first served". No one has an automatic right to a particular name. This cause many conflicts, because the principles of registration are often abused by domain speculators. However, the domain names are not subject of special legal regulation in the most countries (Czech republic included). The thesis is composed of two parts. The first part is divided in five chapters. Initiative chapters are focused on defining the concept of domain names, their technical aspects, hierarchical structure and types. In this part is also mentioned Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and its Uniform Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP). Analysis of conditions for the implementation in elections in the Czech Republic.

This bachelor work deals with Internet voting in elections and its possible implementation in the Czech Republic. The first part is dedicated to Internet voting, its compliance with principles of democratic elections and the requirements of the information systems of elections. The second section describes projects of Internet voting in Estonia and Geneva and their impact to voter turnout. The third part is focused on the current electoral system in the Czech Republic and the conditions and chances of the implementation of Internet voting in elections to representative bodies. The outcome of this part is my proposal for concept of internet voting for Czech Republic.
