Residual Contamination of Soils with Artificial Radionuclides Sr-90 and Cs-137
Kadlecová, Tereza ; Sedlářová, Barbora (advisor) ; Bruthans, Jiří (referee)
The review part of this bachelor thesis deals with sources of artificial radionuclides strontium- 90 and caesium-137, which are released into the environment mainly due to nuclear weapons tests and nuclear accidents. The most extensive contamination of the Czech Republic was caused by the Chernobyl accident in 1986. The transport of strontium-90 and caesium-137 through the environment is summarised, with emphasis on soil. In the experimental part of the work, the residual contamination of arable and meadow soil with these radionuclides was evaluated in the Veltrusy locality in relation to hydropedological properties. This site was chosen in connection with the project "Innovative methods for the detection of ultra-low concentrations of radionuclides to assess the vulnerability of drinking water sources in the event of a nuclear accident", which was carried out within the T. G. Masaryk Water Research Institute. It was found that contamination varies depending on land use, such as cultivated and uncultivated land. Strontium-90 was not measurable at either site, whereas caesium-137 was detectable at both of them. Most of the caesium-137 in the grassland soil was measured in the near-surface layer of the soil, whereas in the arable soil it was evenly distributed throughout the profile. The mobility of...
Fay Weldon's Short Stories- Translation and Commentary
KADLECOVÁ, Tereza
This Diploma thesis is concerned with a translation of one of the stories written by an author Fay Weldon from the book Nothing to Wear, Nowhere to Hide (2002). The theoretical part aims to introduce the topic of a translation with its forms, analyze the process of translator's work using models of translation based on theories from several important linguists and apply the knowledge in the practical part on one of the short stories with the following commentary. Also, it aims to develop the skills acquainted during the study of translation and develop knowledge in literary translation.
Capillary electrophoresis with dual optical and contactless conductometric detection.
Kadlecová, Tereza ; Opekar, František (advisor) ; Jelínek, Ivan (referee)
This work deals with dual detection of organic and inorganic analytes after separation by capillary zone electrophoresis. In the first part, two types of hydrodynamic sampling are tested. Standard hydrodynamic sampling most often used in laboratory-made electrophoretic apparatus, based on lifting the vessel with the sample, in which the sampling end of the capillary is immersed, and a new method based on increasing the pressure in the sampling vessel without moving the capillary. This sampling procedure minimizes experimenter activity because it is controlled by software. Experimenter only changes vessel containing the sample solution for one with separation electrolyte. The experimental parameters, the sampling time and pressure, are optimized to achieve maximum separation efficiency and adequate detection sensitivity. In the second part of the work, the developed method is tested for the separation of amino-acids in a biological sample (urine).
Determination of ethanol in petrol using impedance detector
Kadlecová, Tereza ; Opekar, František (advisor) ; Štulík, Karel (referee)
This work deals with the determination of ethanol in petrol using contactless impedance detector. Planar and tubular detection cells of various geometric parameters are tested. The cells are connected as a frequency determining capacitor in an integrated multivibrator circuit. Analyzed gasoline, whose dielectric constant depends on the ethanol content, forms the dieletric of the capacity cells. Therefore, for various contents of ethanol, the capacity of the detection cells varies and the multivibrator generates different frequency. Based on the calibration, the content of ethanol can be determined from the frequency measured. The results obtained are compared with those obtained by gas chromatography with mass spectrometric detection.
Problematika reklamací v oblasti cestovního ruchu
Kadlecová, Tereza
The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of complaint resolution, specifically the non-uniform form of quantification of compensation in case of trip failures. In the literature search there is an overview of legal regulations concerning defects of tours, complaints and customer damages with the use of complaint tables, among others by examples from Czech and foreign judicial practice. In the practical part, using the questionnaire survey, the attitudes of domestic travel agencies to the question of introducing a single compensation form were investigated. This could ultimately significantly reduce the number of litigation between clients and travel agencies. The conclusion of the thesis evaluates the opinions of the travel agency on the unified form, evaluates the possible impact on the travel agency when in-troducing such a form and makes recommendations to reduce the number of un-justified claims.
Roman law aspects of acquiring poperty in the Civil code
Kadlecová, Tereza ; Bělovský, Petr (advisor) ; Šejdl, Jan (referee)
Roman law aspects of acquiring property in the Civil Code Abstract The thesis deals with the modes of acquiring ownership in the Czech Civil Code, Act No. 89/2012 Sb., as well as in the Roman law. The aim of this thesis is to find the Roman- law context in the modes of acquiring ownership regulated by the current Civil Code. The thesis is divided into three parts, the first deals with the ownership in general, the original modes of acquisition of ownership are analysed in the second part, and the derivative modes of acquiring of ownership in the third. The aim of this thesis is not to describe all possible modes of ownership acquisition in detail, but to briefly introduce them and compare the above- mentioned legislations. The Civil Code is based on principles of Roman law. It is, however, understandable that the current legislation is different from the Roman law, as the Civil Code was adopted almost fifteen centuries after the famous Justinian codifications. The thesis describes the original modes of acquiring ownership. The original modes according the Civil Code include appropriation, discovery, natural accession (incl. accession of an immovable thing, alluvium and tear-off, and accession of movable things incl. acquiring fruits), mixed accession (incl. sowing and planting), artificial accession (incl....

Regulation of the International Private Law within the EU with a Special Focus on the Area of Labour Law
Kadlecová, Tereza ; Pauknerová, Monika (advisor) ; Dolanská Bányaiová, Lucie (referee) ; Poláček, Bohumil (referee)
The dissertation thesis deals with the regulation of the private international law matters within EU law focusing on the area of labour law.1 The thesis is divided into four basic parts, its centrepiece being parts II and III, which are devoted to relevant general issues related to the regulation of international private law within EU law and/or to the specific legal instruments adopted in this area. Part I is an introduction of the topic, while part IV brings a résumé and a summary of findings and conclusions made throughout the thesis. First of all, the introductory part brings about a justification as to why it was European private international law and/or its part concerning labour law relationships that became the subject matter of the thesis. Emphasis is placed upon the purpose of this legal regulation, its basic features as well as its practical importance. Also, the author explains her motivation to address the concerned topic (consisting in a quite unusual interconnection of international private law and labour law), brings about a justification as for the chosen approach to the topic and outlines the systemization of her thesis. Part II of the thesis, which is devoted primarily to some selected general issues of the legal regulation of European private international law, is divided into...

The Position of Jordan in the Actual International Relations
Kadlecová, Tereza ; Novotná, Yvona (advisor) ; Volenec, Otakar (referee)
Jordan due to its geographical location is located at the heart of the Arab-Israeli conflict. This fact significantly affects its domestic policy, foreign policy and economic development. An important aspect of Jordan's development is also the presence of Palestinians, who currently make up approximately half of the population. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the influence of internal and external factors on political and economic development of Jordan and especially on the formation of its foreign policy and then to assess the position of Jordan in actual international relations. Jordan's foreign policy is based on balancing between the relations with neighboring Arab states and the strategically important relationship with the Western powers, particularly the United States of America. Jordan is also a key participant in the Middle East peace process and is one of the few Arab countries that signed a peace treaty with Israel and maintains with Israel full diplomatic relations.
