This thesis explores experiences of professional, classical musicians who perform music on daily basis. The main observation is whether listening to music creates a synesthesia within this very specific group. Synesthesia is a condition in which one perception (a trigger or inducer) involutarily triggers another (concurrent) experience. To fully contain this idea, multiple individuals, un-experienced with classical music were adressed as well. The main purpose of this thesis is an identification and separation of abstract notions of musicians and an actual musically-induced synesthesia. Methodology, data collection, exploratory specimen and a way how the research was conducted are decribed in the practical part of the thesis. Collected data were then analyzed in respective categories. Theoretical part researches the different musical experiences, the synesthetic phenomena and its effect in musical environment, and an analysis of the musical sample used as a foundation for the practical part.
