Arnošt Schwarzenberg - The Life of the Nobleman in the 20th Century

6 Abstract This diploma thesis deals with the life story of Ernest Prince of Schwarzenberg (1892- 1979). The 20th century was a century of upheavals and changes. All events of this hectic century are significantly reflected in Ernest's life. Ernest was born into the aristocratic family of Schwarzenberg, whose roots date back to the early 12th century. Members of Schwarzenberg's family held important position under the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. On this basis, Ernest received a proper upbringing and education. During the World War II he was a soldier on the front lines in Poland and Italy, but he also served in the imperial court in Vienna. After 1918, Schwarzenberg had to find its place in civil society in newly formed Czechoslovakia. In 1936, due to inheritance from his uncle Frederick II., Ernest became a landowner and tried to take care of his estate in Tochovice. During the World War II he had to defend Tochovice before Nazi rule and after the war he had to defend himself and his Czech nationality. After 1948, Ernest remained as the only one of the Schwarzenberg's family in communist Czechoslovakia. He lost all his assets, twice ended up in a communist prison, and yet refused to leave the country. The use of segmentation in the on-line sales of selected travel agency

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the online sales of the travel agency New Travel.cz for the past year 2010 and then use the particular results of the analysis and find out and characterize the major market segments of this company. The travel agency gets through the market segmentation better general view of it's customers and consumer's behavior and comapny can effectively focusing their marketing activities. This analysis can be regarded as pilot project of the New Travel.cz., therefore, deals only with the sale of the previous year. This analysis will serve as a source of information needed to progression of the new generation database of tours and administrative interface of travel agency New Travel.cz.
The Homage Ritual of the Manor Třeboň to the Prince Ferdinand of Schwarzenberg in 1683

The subject of this work is the homage ritual to the prince Ferdinand of Schwarzenberg in 1683. The work depicts the modern ritual through the symbolic communication methodological conception, whose theoretical grassroots were elaborated by Barbara Stollberg-Rilinger. The homage ritual is comprehended as a symbolic communication space, in which the period social hierarchy and the presentation of the early modern society reflected. The introductory part of the work depicts the preparations leading to the realization of the homage ritual. In the further parts, the homage ritual of the manor Třeboň is interpreted and compared with other homage rituals. Finally, the work summarizes the symbolic presentation of the homage ritual actors at the manor Třeboň.
Issues of tourism development in the Moravian-Silesian Region

The aim of this work is to analyze the potential of the Moravian-Silesian Region in the field of tourism development, to describe the activities of regional authority of the Moravian-Silesian Region, approximate the most important projects and strategies to tourism development in the region and identify regional cooperation with the private sector. Regional authority of the Moravian-Silesian Region excersices a wide range of activities to promote tourism in the region and recognizes the revenue from this sector and creates new jobs, which is for the region very important now. The Moravian-Silesian region is perceived very negatively in the eyes of many citizens of the Czech Republic, and one of the objectives of this work is to change this view.
