Regulation of translation in mammalian oocytes and early embryos

Fully grown oocytes undergo their further development in the absence of transcription. Completion of meiosis and early embryo development rely on the maternal mRNAs synthetized and stored during earlier development. Thus, the regulation of gene expression in oocytes during that period is controlled almost exclusively at the level of mRNA stabilization and translation. In the same vein, any mRNA metabolism could play a critical function at this stage of development. RNA localization followed by a local translation is a mechanism responsible for the control of spatial and temporal gene expression in the cell. We focused on visualization of mRNA and in situ translation in the mammalian oogenesis and embryogenesis. We characterized localization of global RNA population in the oocyte and early embryo nucleus together with RNA binding proteins. Additionally we visualized specific ribosomal proteins that contribute to translation in the oocyte and embryo. We have shown that the key player of cap-dependent translation mTOR becomes highly active post nuclear envelope breakdown (NEBD) and in turn its substrate, translational repressor 4E-BP1 becomes inactive. Title: Anti-doping policy and the development of doping in the Czech Republic. Points of thesis: The points of thesis is to predict future developments in the fight against doping and design more effective and consistent fight against doping in sport based on the complete analysis of the anti-doping policy around the world, as well as in the Czech republic and analysis of development in doping in the Czech republic from 2000 to present. I chose this period because I consider the data obtained in this period to be sufficiently significant and relevant. At the same time, this time horizon is sufficient to establish a trend in the modern development of doping in the Czech Republic. Objectives of the thesis will be achieved by compliance with sub-tasks, which include: Identification and characterization of the concepts relating to the topic: doping, the institutional form of anti-doping policy, legislative form of anti-doping policy, prohibited substances and doping methods. Institutions for Leisure Time Spending of the Youth up to the Age of 18

The bachelor thesis deals with institutional analysis of the group Kořes and its evaluation. This thesis is divided to theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part are defined the basic concepts which are related with the leisure time of the youth.
In the practical part is analysed group Kořes into individual parts of institution and these parts are evaluated. This analysis was compiled based on data about the group Kořes, which was the most recent, from year 2014. Data were collected primarily from the annual report and from other internal documents of the group.
The practical part contains also secondary topic. It is about general awareness of the society about institutions for leisure time spending of the youth and their use. Information has been obtained via questionnaire.
In the conclusion of the bachelor thesis is summary of results from analysis and questionnaires.
