Theoretical part describes mainly historical evolution of death and dying, euthanasia, palliative care and dignity of dying person. Empiric chapter uses quantitative research in form of anonymous questionnaire. Perspectives of nurses on good death were found by analysis of questionnaires. Results showed that most of the respondents would agree with legalization of euthanasia. On the other hand many respondents are not familiar with institution of DNR offered by Czech legislative as alternative to euthanasia. This thesis should lead to further reflection of the given issue.
