From Saris to Jeans and Back. A Migrant in the Network of Gendered Geographies of Power

This thesis is an ethnograp. It aimes to show the process of the identity change and the change of the character of the relationships. hic study of the situation of an immigrant called Lina from Bangladesh in Italy. It aimes to show the process of the identity change and the change of the character of the relationships. It points out to the both global and local power nets, especially the gendered ones. The framework of the "gendered geographies of power" was applied in this work, a tool designed by Patricia R. Pessar and Sarah J. Mahler for the topics related to migration processes. It encompasses the influance of gender in the relations in and between different levels of social reality (state, body, family), then the location of the person in the power hierarchies developed from historical, political, economical, parental etc. factors and in the last place the agency of the people involved. The thesis is based on the materials from a fieldwork, a situation when the researcher is in a direct and intimate contact with the daily life of the informant. (Participant observation) Another data source was the narrative interview that gave the informant the possibility of self-expression and the study gained a testimony about the informant's conceptualization of her life. The aim of this diploma thesis is to map the importance of media education in general education and also to find out the way how pupils of the 2nd stage of elementary school and pupils of lower grade of multi-years grammar schools reflect the media education and at the same time to find out its benefit and usage in their real life. The theoretical part describes the basic knowledge that are connected with the theme of this work. The greatest emphasis is placed on the concept of media education in the Czech educational system. The practical part is focus on the results of the research which was made with the mentioned pupils. With the use of the interview with these pupils should be find out what is their opinion on the media education. Through their answers the author of this diploma thesis will try to outline if there is any difference in concept of media education between pupils of the elementary school and pupils of lower grade of multi-year grammar school. At the end of this work the author gives some suggestions for improvement and diversification of teaching media education that reacts on results found out in the research.

The Single Life - yes or no ?

The goal of my bachelor´s thesis titled "The Single Life - yes or no?" is to provide the summary information about modern phenomenon, which occurs in the Czech society from the beginning 90´s of the last century. The theoretical part is about the most important findings which are connected with this lifestyle. The second part, practical, is comprised of the qualitative research, which aims to analyze the life of singles and provide to readers the insight into their life and simultaneously their thoughts about single life. Within this research the readers can also find some differences between single men and single women, so the readers can have a better look at this interesting lifestyle.

Forms of work with risk groups of young people in West Bohemia

This bachelor's thesis deals with problematic of risk behavior young people. The objectvie of this bachelor's thesis is to describe which forms of works uses social educator and which methods and possibilites has social pedagogy in work with risk young people. The theoretical part focuses on social pedagogy as a discipline, to her concept and subject. Nex tis characterized profession of social educator, which competence he has and in which areas he could acts. In the practical part of this bachelor's thesis was chosen the method of asking, quantitative approach. There was asked certain number of employees of various institutions focused on risk behavior young people and on this basis was found how they work with them.
