Proffesion role of a headmaster and the ethics of his work

This theoretical work deals with the ethics in the work of the headmaster of a primary school. After the definition of main terms, we describe the possibilities of the human morality. We mainly deal with the elements of pre-understanding the ethical practice, moral consciousness (awareness) and virtues. In the next chapter we define the proffesion role of a headmaster and the requirements on it on the base of different issues. The private ethics (morality) and the proffesion role (erudition) are the determinants of the decision-making and the behaviour of a headmaster in situations with ethical dimension. In the last chapter we focus on the point of the work that is the analysis of the relationships of a headmaster. That means the relationships with colleagues of a headmaster, with pupils, with superior and supervisory organs, parents, with the other subjects in context with the social responsibility of a primary school and its corporate culture. The aims of the analysis are the ethical aspects of relationships and the formulation of ethical dilemmas for headmaster's decision-making. After the critical evaluation, the work could be used as a foundation for creation of the code of ethics.
