Information Extraction from structured business documents by learning from similarity
Holeček, Martin ; Maršík, František (advisor) ; Liwicki, Marcus (referee) ; Mesiti, Marco (referee)
The automation of document processing is gaining recent attention due to the great potential to reduce manual work through improved methods and hardware. In this area, neural networks have been applied before - even though they have been trained only on relatively small datasets with hundreds of documents so far. To successfully explore deep learning techniques and improve the information ex- traction results, a dataset with more than twenty-five thousand documents (pro forma invoices, invoices and debit note documents) has been compiled, anonymized and is published as a complement of this work. In the first part of the research, we will examine the documents from the point of view of table detection, present a survey on table detection methods and ultimately rephrase the table detection as a text box labelling problem to optimize micro F1 score of per-word classification. We will show that we can extract specific information from structurally different tables or table-like structures with one trainable model that features a comprehen- sive representation of a page using graph over word-boxes, positional embeddings and trainable textual features. The first part is concluded with a novel neural network model that beats multiple baselines and achieves strong, practical results on the presented dataset....
Efficient methods for visualization of volumetric data
Holeček, Martin ; Hron, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Tůma, Miroslav (referee)
Title: Efficient methods for visualization of volumetric data Author: Martin Holeček Department: Mathematical Institute of Charles University Supervisor: RNDr. Ing. Jaroslav Hron, Ph.D., Mathematical Institute Abstract: The aim is to make an overview of and present implementation usefull for rendering of simulated datasets and CT and MR datasets. We will examine the methods of direct volume rendering of structured and unstructured grids and head to meaningful simultaneous realtime rendering of both types. In the first part, we briefly present the development, problems and targets of the field. Next, based on knowledge about existing algorithms, we choose one solution and present our own implementation and modification of algorithms. In detail, the object of our study will be numerical solutions of volume rendering integral by preintegration and paralelization of the process of projecting tetrahedra and perspective correction. For practical reasons we focus on the efficiency, that means computation time, used memory and usefullnes for medical presentation. The results will be compared with some other existing implementations. Keywords: volume rendering, preintegration, unstructured grid
František Fajtl after year 1945
Holeček, Martin ; Václavů, Lubor (advisor) ; Míšková, Alena (referee)
66 The aim of this Bachelor Thesis is to portray the life of the war hero, František Fajtl after the year 1945. In this part of his life the author focuses on the arrest, imprisonment and the persecution by the Communist regime in general. The first chapter shows a brief biography ended at the end of the World War II. Following block of chapters deals with more detailed description of František Fajtl's life in the era of the totalitarian regime. The closing chapters investigate both the lecturing and publishing activities of the fighter pilot and his perception of the Velvet Revolution and the following events. Many valuable primary sources have been used in this Bachelor Thesis. These sources should support the authenticity of the work. The appendix is very rich in this way. Keywords: "Former people", František Fajtl, General, Memoirs, Mírov, RAF (Royal Air Force), Rehabilitation, TNP.
The Image of Czechoslovak War Pilots in Rudé Právo between 1945-1950 and in the Selected Years of 1960s
Holeček, Martin ; Suk, Pavel (advisor) ; Cebe, Jan (referee)
The aim of diploma thesis The Image of Czechoslovak War Pilots in Rudé Právo between 1945-1950 and in the Selected Years of 1960s is to present the media image of this social group in the view of Rudé právo newspaper. Considering the topic chosen, the author concentrated on the post-war years between 1945-1947, 1948-1950 and the selected years of 1960s (1963, 1965 and 1968). This paper is based on complementation method which combines media history and theory, historical context and complex content analysis of Rudé právo articles in the given years. For content analysis, the author of the paper used a method of text coding depending on the topics suitable for sufficient presentation of the image of Czechoslovak war pilots as well as of the topics and events that contributed to that image. The primary source of this thesis was Rudé právo newspaper which also supplied material for content analysis. Secondary sources contain professional literature concerning media history and air or war environment. The author also uses internet sources and some of them are even archived by the National Library of the Czech Republic because of their content.
Optimization of operation of renewable electric energy sources based on fuel cells, accumulators and FV panels for small powers.
Holeček, Martin ; Maršík, František (advisor) ; Beran, Zdeněk (referee)
The first part of the research is motivated to provide citations deeper to the literature of optimal control principles that could be linked to the system optimization problem, discuss these principles and various ways to apply them. Then we describe one fuel cell, accumulator and photovoltaic standalone system along with the most used equations from the literature. Next, we formulate the problem of optimal control for this system to optimize the system financial cost in the best case and we process to describe and discuss the numerical optimal control algorithm - multiple shooting - that will be used to solve the problem, that was not used in literature so far in conjunction with the problem. The codes and numerical simulations are also provided. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Generalized Stokes systems - theoretical analysis approach
Holeček, Martin ; Málek, Josef (advisor) ; Pokorný, Milan (referee)
We consider steady flows of homogenous incompressible fluid described by generalized Stokes system. We study two models, first with shear-rate dependent viskosity and second with pressure and shear-rate dependent viskosity. We investigate internal flows in bounded domains subject to Navier's boundary condition. First, to show the difference, we present proofs of existence and uniqueness of solutions for both systems. Then we investigate, what are the assumptions allowing to take the fluid mechanics limit, as Navier's boundary conditions approximate first no-slip and then (perfect) slip boundary conditions. Finally, we consider for simplicity specially periodic problem and show regularity result (integrability of the second derivatives of the velocity and the first derivatives of the pressure).
