PANOPTIKON
Hofmann, Petr Eric ; Smetana,, Matěj (referee) ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (advisor)
The chosen output for this master's project is the creation of a 360° animated video, where the image recording is captured in all directions simultaneously. The nature of this video lies in allowing the viewer, based on their activity, to look around the environment of the ongoing action and immerse themselves in the video's environment. Each viewing of the video is unique because the viewer never sees the entire scene at once; everything around them happens in parallel, providing a nonlinear film experience not only from the narrative side but also from the visual side. The final 360° video is interactive, requiring the viewer's active participation to utilize its full potential, as most of the additional content remains hidden without activity and in a static state of the video. This video format shares the property of interactivity with the environment of digital games and can be understood as a hybrid connection of these two media. In terms of content, the project processes Jeremy Bentham's concept of the Panopticon, an architectural object where all its inhabitants should be under constant surveillance. The narrative follows the activities of five characters who, although separated from each other in isolated rooms and are under constant surveillance by the viewer in the observation room, manage to escape from the architectural construct after several unintended mistakes. The main function of the project is to emphasize visual elements strongly from both the content and formal perspectives and thus provide the viewer with an extraordinary experience
Autopsy
Hofmann, Petr Eric ; Záhora, Zdeněk (referee) ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on digital games, namely the creation of game objects and virtual space. An existing room was used as the main object, which was the auditorium at FFA. The outcome of this project is a computer app bringing users the possibility to explore the digital model of the auditorium. The digital technologies are providing us with a completely different point of view regarding the already existing room. The video game's interactive principles allow us to look closer at the image layers, called textures, responsible for the final look of a game object. The emphasis of this project is to communicate mainly with the help of visual language which will reduce the need for greater amount of textual information towards the user. The content can be unlocked by navigation through an intuitive user interface, an ingame tool to control the play. The title "Autopsy" was chosen as an allegory to the process of finding and gaining new information and experience thanks to the dismantling of a researched subject just to its main core. The autopsy room is not just a room, where the action happens, it is the action itself.

Using Ruby on Rails for supporting team collaboration of developers
Hofmann, Petr ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Buchalcevová, Alena (referee)
Thema of this master thesis is Using Ruby on Rails for support of team collaboration of developers. The main objective is support of team collaboration of developers (students of programming courses) at the Catedry of Computer Science of the University of Economics Prague. The objective has been acomplished by developement of a new application in Ruby on Rails on the school server kitscm.vse.cz. This application is used for support of team collaboration. Application automatizes some of procedures, which were made on the server kitscm.vse.cz manually in the past. Application collaborates with another open-source applications (openldap, dokuwiki, subversion) running on the kitscm.vse.cz server. After the introduction (chapter 1), follows familiarization with Ruby and Ruby on Rails (chapter 2), analysis and design of the application (chapter 3), familirization with application operational architecture (chapter 4) and example of development of part of the application (chapter 5). Main benefit is an application supporting team collaboration, which is used by students and teachers. The whole application is available on http://sourceforge.net/projects/kitscm/ under GPL license.
IS/ICT of an internet casino
Hofmann, Petr ; Šalamon, Tomáš (advisor) ; Ston, Zdeněk (referee)
Tato Bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou a návrhem dvou informačních systémů (IS) elektronického kasina - herního a platebního IS. Obsahuje procesní, objektové a funkční modely těchto dvou IS a vysvětluje jejich vzájemnou konzistenci. Při návrhu a modelování jsou využity znalosti získané na KIT VŠE Praha (Katedra informačních technologií Vysoké školy ekonomické v Praze).
