Possibilities of using aditive technologies in direct manufacturing of foundry moulds
Herzán, Jiří ; Šlajs, Jan (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the production of foundry molds with using additive technologies. At first, the additive technologies are distributed according to ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) and subsequently according to the state of the base material. Then, three types of technologies, that can be manufactured by Rapid Prototyping are described. The last chapter of the bachelor thesis is a real example of the production of a prototype fan casting from aluminum alloy AlSi9Cu3(Fe), which was casted into a printed mold by “3D Sand Printing” technology. Based on the obtained data were assessed technical, time and cost parameters of manufacturing the fan. The findings were compared with the molding technology of the ordinary printed pattern, which is an alternative to prototype production. The casting of the fan was cast in Armatmetal s.r.o. in Olomouc.
Proposal of casting technology for cooper alloy castnig with regard to their quality and productivity of fininishing oprations
Herzán, Jiří ; Lána, Ivo (referee) ; Roučka, Jaromír (advisor)
This paper is created based on the real situation in Armatmetal s.r.o. Based on customer requirements and possible reduction of finishing operations at the end of production in the foundry. The foundry technology of gravity casting into sand molds is changed to gravity casting into metal mold. To change technology at Armatmetal s.r.o. two types of castings were selected. The "Kloub 55 s vidlicí" casting was selected by the customer to test the new technology. Casting "Klínová koncovka KN10" was chosen by Armatmetal s.r.o. because of the structural design of the casting and the high repeatability of production. Castings are the subject of the paper. The diploma thesis includes methods of solving the elimination of foundry defects occurring on a complicated casting " Kloub 55 s vidlicí". The main aim of the thesis is to assess the technical-economic contribution of the change of foundry technology of the casting " Klínová koncovka KN10". The paper also includes a complex comparison of the current and new technology production with related problems and their solutions.

Herzán, Jiří ; Klíma, Tomáš (advisor) ; Veber, Jaromír (referee)
Bachelor's thesis is focused on crypto currency bitcoin. The thesis is divided into three parts. First chapter is focused on cryptography, which is used for bitcoin security. Next chapter describes basic bitcoin principles and bitcoin mining. In last chapter there are practically described two methods of bitcoin mining. The aim of this thesis is to bring coherent view on given themes, especially bitcoin mining. The main goal of this thesis is trying bitcoin mining using ASIC miner and Cloud mining method. The result is a statement about mining profitability.
