Jurisdiction and Admissibility in the Czech Republic's BITs

IN ENGLISH Jurisdiction and Admissibility in the Czech Republic's BITs The purpose of this work is to assess whether the high number of investment cases the Czech Republic had to face was partially prompted by wordings of Czech Republic's BITs. The work focuses on clauses that pertain to jurisdiction of tribunal and admissibility of claim, as these are the first questions that are raised in every proceedings. The work consists of six Chapters. The first Chapter is introductory and outlines the issues that will be examined. The second Chapter defines the terms 'jurisdiction' and 'admissibility' and explains how the concepts relate to provisions of BITs. The third Chapter is dedicated to topic of treaty shopping. It explores cases against the Czech Republic where the issue of treaty shopping was raised, analyses the argumentation and provisions that were used in each case together with similar provisions contained in other Czech BITs, and suggests changes that should be made in order to make the clauses more effective against treaty shopping. The fourth Chapter examines the instance of parallel proceedings commenced against the Czech Republic. The lords of Schönburg. History of their house in Czech kingdom (from half of the 13th century to the first half of the 15th century)

The Lords of Schönburg, the ministerial House of Holy Roman Empire, come from Saxon Pleissenland. As sources show, their first contact with the Czech Kingdom dates back to Přemyslid period. This thesis observes their first steps in our country; their lives during the rule of the Luxemburgs up to the time of the rule of the Czech king Wenzeslaw IV. Fridrich of Schönburg - Glauchau may be considered as a certain ancestor of the Lords of Schönburg settled in Bohemia. He became an ally of the Czech king Wenzeslaw I., who was seeking for support between the foreign nobility against new rising landed nobility in Bohemia. His descendants settled down in the Czech Kingdom. The Lords of Schönburg became vassals of the Czech kings. At first they took vows of loyalty to Wenzeslaw III., and gave up Glauchau estate in Pleissenland for benefit of the king. As late as the rule of Charles IV., they gained feuds in Bohemia - Hasištejn, Perštejn, Egerberk and Ervěnice. Here they built up their domains, which didn't exist for a long time because of their losses by demises, sales and confiscations. Both during the rule of the Přemyslids and the Luxemburgs, the Lords of Schönburg appeared in sourroundings of the kings. Relationship of demand for old Czech gastronomy and offer of chosen restaurant

This work defines the history and characteristic of Czech gastronomy in detail which is put aside by nowadays worldwide trend of healthy lifestyle. The both sides of the market are analysed individually and the results are compared in the conclusion. The demand was analysed by questionnaires which were distributed in the restaurant and filled in by the residents and the foreigners. The results of demand analysis were presented to the operational manager of the restaurant. On the basis of these results, restaurant managers can make a decision about potentional changes. The Process test explore the offer of the restaurant and is focused on the marketing strategy of the outlet and its offer.
