Test modules for automated testing of gas boiler controllers
Herbrych, Vojtěch ; Vyskočil, Pavel (referee) ; Dřínovský, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design and implementation of test modules for measurement and PWM signal generation and communication using OpenTherm, for automated testing of gas boiler control units at Resideo company. This work builds on an already developer facility containing a set of measurement and test modules designed for simple automated testing of developed and manufactured equipment. The reason for the designing and manufacturing the additional modules is to extend the existing test set, automate the additional testing process and the extend the existing module, that no longer meets the current requirements of Resideo´s test engineers. The existing and newly developed test modules are based on ARM microcontrollers with a Cortex-M core, which communicate with the higher/level system using the MODBUS protocol via the RS-485 communication interface. The entire test system is connected to the bus in parallel and behaves as a RESPONDER (formerly known as SLAVE). The parent system (usually a computer) behaves as a CONTROLLER (formerly called MASTER). The power supply of the modules is unified (24 VDC) and is implemented on the existing communication and power supply module. For both developed modules, a circuit diagram was designed and possibly parts of the problematic circuits were simulated. Then the firmware was developed and the functionality of the modules was verified. All the requirements of the Resideo assignment were met and the modules can easily be extended in the future with additional functions. It will be also possible to modify the already developed functions impemented in the modules.
Class AB stereo audio power amplifier with electron tubes
Herbrych, Vojtěch ; Šotner, Roman (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with design and create construction drawings of audio amplifier using vaccum tubes with output power 20 W/4 and works in class AB. At least two inputs are included for mobile, computer and others. The device includes 2-band preamplifier with basic adjustment (bass and treble). For different channel volume is included balance adjustment. There is an audio-level indicator with „magic-eye tube“. This part of bachelor thesis contains theoretical explanation, design of amplifier´s schematic and design drawings.
