Prof. Hans-Eberhard Piepho - and his Contribution to the Modern Teaching of Foreign Languages

This bachelor thesis deals with the life of prof. Hans-Eberhard Piepho, who was an innovator in teaching foreign languages, mostly English. This work describes the life of prof. Hans-Eberhard Piepho, his works and his innovations in foreign language teaching. Prof. Hans-Eberhard Piepho was the first to come up with the so-called communicative method, which persists with minor changes to this day. He was the first to criticize the audio-visual and audiolingual method of teaching foreign languages. These two methods were used until the 1980s. Furthermore, this work describes and analyses the particular ideas of Professor Hans-Eberhard Piepho, which were very modern and timeless at that time.

The Use of Smartphones in the TV News Czech televizion

The technology of television picture shooting and its transfer has been evolving since its inception. The evolution significantly influences the TV news production. It preceded the emergence of a mobile journalism, which means the application of smartphones in the TV news production. The goal of this thesis is to describe the application of the latest technology, smartphones, in the Czech television TV news. The main benefit of this thesis is to find a current state of use of smartphones in the Czech television, including its positives and negatives. Some space in the thesis is also dedicated to the history of smartphones usage and also to possible future ways of the usage. First part of the thesis is theoretical and introduces the mobile journalism in the context of technological development. Second part of the thesis is a case study of smartphones application in the Czech television TV news. It is based on an analysis of a qualitative interview with an external editor of the Czech television.

Discharge and selected water quality parameters modelling in the Jenínský stream catchment by SWAT model

The thesis continues with the bachelor thesis which had dealt with preparation bases for simulation draining and carrying materials in SWAT model. Simulation should have been realized within basin of the Jenín stream, which watershed is 4,65 km2 large. SWAT model is primary developed for the larger watersheds where simulated values doesn't attain tolerances. Because of this is thesis focused on the methodic of simulation itself, discussion of the problem when is SWAT model almost useless for the small watersheds and presentation of the calibrated values which had served as basis for verification.

Preparation of bases for modelation draining and carrying substances in SWAT model

This bachelor thesis is dealing with preparation bases for modelation draining and carrying materials in SWAT model. Thesis includes literature search about basis of SWAT model, SWAT development, preferences and imprefections of this model. It?s also going over various modelations and general division. Further describes necessary input data, their types and requirements without which would be impossible to complete this task. I?ve chosen Jenín stream basin located near village Jenín which is approximately three kilometers eastwards from Rožmberk upon Vltava . Thanks to the possibilities of todays internet my work was simplified and looking for quality, well available bases was easier.
