Let's Play videos from the point of view of copyright law

Let's Play videos from the point of view of copyright law Abstract This Master's Thesis examines Let's Play videos (that are a new but significant and popular part of the entertainment industry) from the point of view of copyright law, especially the Czech one. The view of the European Union law is of course not omitted. With respect to the global nature of the issue, the Thesis includes selected foreign legislation, case law and expert opinions. Since the issue of Let's Play videos is new and almost unexplored, this Thesis examines and defines not only Let's Play videos but also their creators. It also identifies sources of income from Let's Play videos, persons involved and their interests, which can collide with each other. Given the existential interdependence of Let's Play videos on videogames, this Thesis examines even some relevant copyright aspects of videogames. Besides the question of copyright classification of Let's Play videos, the Thesis also deals with not so obvious consequences of such classification. There are analyzed possible legal titles for the use of video games and their elements in the creation, publication and monetization of Let's Play videos as well. Unit-linked life insurance and its investment strategies

This thesis is focused on services within unit-linked life insurance and strategic decisions in their selection. We characterize Czech Republic's insurance market and European Union market as a whole. The purpose of thesis is to analyse specific conditions on unit-linked life insurance market in Czech Republic. Unit-linked life insurance products of selected insurance companies are compared within this work.

Emigration of Scholars in Documents

The contribution deals with the source base to the problems of emigration of Czech scientists at the turn of 1960s and 1970s. It analyses documents related to the decision making processes at the level of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia and consequently of the Presidium of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences (CSAS), where there are described from the regime’s point of view "undesirable phenomena", such as illegal departures of scientists abroad or their non-returning, influence of propaganda, overestimation of the "Western" economic motivations, etc. The documents contain proposals of resolving the situation including specification of the particular tasks. Implementation of the accepted steps and its impact is demonstrated by other documents coming from the different CSAS institutes.

Life insurance product and its practical usage

Life insurance and insurance in general are defined in this bachelor thesis. Further are mentioned its articulation and basic insurance terminology. Analytic part is focused on risk analysis in individual life stages and on comparison of selected life insurance products, that are offered by insurance companies on Czech Republic's market.
