Iconography of Rudolf II.
Zlatohlávková, Eliška ; Konečný, Lubomír (advisor) ; Fučíková, Eliška (referee) ; Seifertová, Hana (referee)
Many portraits of Rudolf II were painted and created during his lifetime, forming a significant component of Rudolfine art, however, they have not received a sufficient art historical attention. They document, at times at stylyzed manner, the transformation of Rudolf's appearance. However, their most important task was to demonstrate and make tangeable Rudolf's authentic appearance to the world and to celebrate his magnanimity and personality. Thus, there are many portraits that represent Rudolf as a good emperor or a brilliant commander, although, as we know, they did not correspond to reality. A special chapter of the portrait iconography also create complicated allegories about Rudolf's reign relying on representations of personifications, mythological and animal symbols using Rudolf's personal impresa. Most of the portraits follow former portrait types typical for the 16th century, as bust, standing figure or equestrian monument. However, the peculiarity for Rudolfine portraiture is the allegorical portrait Rudolf as Vertumnus painted by Giuseppe Arcimboldo that combines classical portrait with allegory.
Prague - Besançon Rudolf II and the de Granvelle family Collection
Ježková, Markéta ; Konečný, Lubomír (advisor) ; Fučíková, Eliška (referee) ; Seifertová, Hana (referee)
Praha -Besançon Rudolf II. a sbírka rodiny de Granvelle Předložená práce se věnuje části sbírky rodiny de Granvelle, kterou mezi léty 1589-1601 postupně získal císař Rudolf II. Na pozadí historických událostí rodina de Granvelle během čtyř generací zažila strmý společenský vzestup i pád. Nicolas a jeho syn Antoine de Granvelle zastávali významné funkce na dvoře Karla V. a později Filipa II. Během této doby dokázali vybudovat jednu z největších a nejkvalitnějších sbírek 16. století, zároveň však byli svědky jejího rozprášení během nizozemské revoluce a postupného rozprodeje v prvních desetiletích 17. století. V současné době jsou známé pouze dvě hlavní cesty rozprodeje sbírky. Větší z částí se podařilo zachovat v Besançonu. Počtem, nikoli však významem, menší část se dostala do sbírek císaře Rudolfa II. v Praze a následně sdílela další osudy sbírek Pražského hradu. Předkládaná práce v první části podává kritický přehled dosavadní literatury věnované dané části sbírky požadované Rudolfem II. Pro českého čtenáře většinou není dostupná ani většina historicky orientovaných textů o členech rodiny, následuje proto stručný přehled jejího vzestupu, pádu a mecenariátu. Zároveň se představuje kontext, v jakém sbírka vznikala. Ústředním bodem práce je kapitola věnovaná příběhu Rudolfovy postupné akvizice....

The Development of the Drawing Art in German Speaking Countries from the 15th to the First Half of 17th Century Regarding its Representation in Czech and Moravian Collections
Volrábová, Alena ; Konečný, Lubomír (advisor) ; Royt, Jan (referee) ; Fučíková, Eliška (referee)
The thesis deals with the development of drawing in German-speaking countries since the early 15 th century, when the late Gothic traditions still echoed, to mannerism in the 16 th and first half of the 17 th centuries, when the Baroque enjoyed its ascent. The introductory chapter is dedicated to the current state of ongoing research, especially in Germany. Eliška Fučíková, in her Candidate of Sciences (CSc.) thesis in 1969, and later Pavel Preiss and today Lubomír Slavíček, have dealt with the subject in Bohemia. The next chapter deals with drawing techniques in the respective periods, with a focus on the pen drawing common in Germany at the time. The chapter that follows summarises the typical characteristics of German drawing, which was usually more confined and firm in volume than the Italian drawing of the time. The section addressing the representation of German drawing in the Czech collections is dedicated to the provenance of the drawings and the resulting repertoire of the museum collections in the Czech Lands. The explored theme is well represented for the most part, despite a painful lack of drawings by Albrecht Dürer. The thesis' main section follows the development of drawing in different art circles in German-speaking regions, illustrating its subject with examples found in public...

Fučíková, Eliška ; Křivčíková, Lucie (referee) ; Vejsová, Marcela (advisor)
Eliška Fučíková Evaluation of activity of potentional antifungal substances through the use of microdilution broth method II Diploma thesis Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Kralove Specialist in laboratory methods Background: The aim of this thesis was to test substances with potential antifungal effect. We tested a totally 10 cathegories of substances: anilides of pyrazincarboxyl acid, arylaminopyrazines, pyrazin-2.3-dinitriles, pyrazincarboxyl acid esters, derivatives of (Z)-5-arylmethyliden-2-thioxothiazolidin-4-on, cholesterol and alkane acids esters, derivatives of thiosalicylamid , diamides, styrylbenzoxazoles, benzoxazepin-diones. Methods: The assesment was carried out using the microdilution broth method. Results: The most striking antifungal activity exhibit derivatives of thiosalicylamid for which MIC values were very low in almost all scale of concentration for all tested fungi. Conclusions: We found that the greatest antimycotic activity is manifested with the substitution of a halogen, mostly by chlorine.
