Eva Kalousová Abstract of dissertation The topic of the dissertation is transfer of the trauma from the holocaust from the first to the second generation of survivors where we deal with the specific development in Czech lands and Israel and partly in Germany and Great Britain and we observe members of the former Jewish community in Uherský Brod and survivors connected with it. The dissertation focuses on traditional symptoms of the transfer and investigates if they were present in researched families or not and why, on the identities of survivors and their children and on the differences in memory of the first and second generations.
