Abstract: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out whether high school students are sufficiently informed about the possible risks of consuming energy drinks, and to what extent their knowledge is associated with their personal consumption of these beverages. The theoretical part is concerned with the actual concept of an energy drink, its ingredients and the drinking regime in general. Furthermore, it also informs about the potential dangers of energy drinks, already executed studies and available measures. The practical part is focused on the questionnaire survey, conducted among the high school students, which tries to find out what their experience with energy drinks is, and whether their knowledge of the effects and dangers of energy drinks is sufficient. The conclusion shows the possible preventive recommendations. Key words: Energy drink, risk, young, legislation, health, trend

"he was very happy to hold Frieda in his hands, far too fearfully happy". Reflexes of a writer's personal fear of commitment in Franz Kafka's novel fragments
Flanderová, Tereza ; Blahak, Boris (advisor) ; Weinberg, Manfred (referee)
This thesis examines Franz Kafka's autobiographic reflections in his three novel fragments, with more attention being paid to those reflections which are connected to two of the three most important women in Kafka's life. In the first part we summarize autobiographic background in the form in which it is presented in Kafka's correspondence and diaries. This background together with the specific social circumstances of Kafka's life are used in the following analysis of the three works. We find that the autobiographic aspect is present in all of the three works and apart from that there is clearly a rising tendency in the volume of the autobiographic content in the works observable with passing time.
The Property Rights Security Is Important: How Exactly?
Flanderová, Tereza ; Schwarz, Jiří (advisor) ; Jánský, Ivo (referee)
This thesis focuses on the impact of institutional quality in a particular country on various firm characteristics on a sample of developing economies from the Central and Eastern Europe and Asia. In the first part we review the existing literature on the topic and formulate our two countervailing theoretical hypotheses, both of which use the transaction costs approach and predict different strategic behavior of the firms. In the empirical part we employ seven firm characteristics as response variables to determine the prevailing institutional influence on them, using microeconomic data from the World Bank's Business Environment and Enterprise Performance Survey (BEEPS) and corresponding institutional indices from the Worldwide Governance Indicators dataset. We find that in poor institutional environments, firms often engage in strategic behavior that allows them to minimize transaction costs imposed upon them so that they merge more activities together and become generally bigger.
