Design and realization of a high-voltage power generator f=13.56 MHz

This thesis deals with the design and practical realization of a high-voltage power generator, which works at a frequency of f = 13.56 MHz. Thesis also deals with the design of a probe dedicated to measuring the electro-magnetic spectrum of the plasma. The probe should be able to work in the frequency range of f = 0 - 500 MHz. State of the art in the field of plasma generation and plasma diagnostics are discussed.

Optimization of HV power generator f = 13.56 MHz

This thesis deals with the optimization of a high-frequency class D power generator, designed for power excitation of a plasma chamber operating at frequency f = 13.56 MHz. The main goal is to optimize generator parameters to ensure best performance regarding the given plasma chamber, whose intended application is to affect the surface of the materials: improvement of the surface wettability, or modification of materials electrical properties: for example, an increasement of dielectric strength of insulators. For the purpose of the generator’s output power monitoring and electromagnetic parameters measurement, a suitable set of sensors which are able to repeatedly measure up to frequency fm = 400 MHz were constructed. A probe for electrical field intensity E evaluation was constructed and tested. This probe is used in the vicinity of plasma incidence on the sample surface. Constructed device (power generator – plasma chamber – sensors) was subjected to tests and results are briefly discussed.

Results: Ukázalo se a také potvrdilo, že jestliže chce střelec dosahovat vynikáních výsledku, musí se prioritně zaměřit na jeden druh střelby, nejlépe na určitou disciplínu. The analysis of factors which influence the resultes of competitors in X-Alps competition

Title: Analysis of factors influencing the success of competitors in the X-Alps competition. Work objective: The main objective of this work is the analysis of physiological parameters and level of flying skills of the only one Czech representative in the X-Alps competition and comparison of these results with the world's elite competitors involved in this extreme competition. Method: Method of personal descriptive case study was used for this thesis. Necessary data were collected by laboratory measurement and by questionnaire. In the laboratory measurement we used appropriate tests for physical fitness. In questionnaire we used method of CAWI - Computer Assisted Web Interviewing. Results: Czech representative, three times participated in the X-Alps, is trained individual with a high level of aerobic fitness. In the stress tests reached VO2max 70,8 ml/ kg/min and ventilation 171.8 l/min. His weakness in this competition is a low number of annual flying hours and only little experience with flying in a terrain of high mountains. Communism in Guatemala? Eisenhower's "New Look" and policy of rolling-back

The diploma thesis deals with the causes, progress and consequences of the overthrow of the democratically elected and reform president of Guatemala - Jacobo Árbenz Guzmán in 1954 - the coup d'état of the "National Liberation Army" under the leadership of Carlos Castillo Armas and his "secret" US allies. The main reasons for the overthrow of the Árbenz's regime in Guatemala were the potential threat of "leaking of international communism" in the US sphere of influence, i.e. Western Hemisphere and threat of US economic interests in Guatemala which are interrelated with the agrarian reform declared by president Árbenz.
