Piano accompaniment. The specific art of piano playing

This thesis focuses on the topic of piano accompaniment, which is an essential and beautiful part of piano playing. This field demands from the pianist a specific approach, which is a subject and core of many study programmes throughout the world. The aim of the first part of this thesis is to map the evolution as well as the current state of knowledge in the field of piano accompaniment using scientific literature on the subject as well as curricula of study programmes obtained from universities in central Europe, where piano accompaniment is taught as a major study course. A strong correlation has been established based on this research between theory in scientific literature on the subject and the current practice of piano accompaniment education in central Europe. The aim of the second part of this thesis is to expand further the level of knowledge in scientific literature, which is insufficient mainly in the accompaniment of solo musical instruments. For this reason, the second part of the thesis focuses on the specific problems in piano accompaniment of musical instrument groups, i.e. string instruments, woodwind instruments and brass instruments. ORCHESTRAL WORKS OF WOJCIECH KILAR FOCUSING ON ORAWA

This thesis is focused on the orchestral works of the Polish music composer Wojciech Kilar and mainly on his composition which is called Orawa. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the personality of the author and his creative period. The second part deals with all the purely orchestral compositions of Wojciech Kilar, with the works Choralvorspiel, Générique, Kościelec 1909, Krzesany, Mała uwertura, Przygrywka i kolęda, Ricordanza per archi, Riff 62, Springfield Sonnet, III. Symphony "September Symphony" and Uwertura uroczysta. The last and the main part of the thesis deals with the composition called Orawa. There is not only the inspiration and the circumstances under which the piece was composed but also analysis of form, harmony and the dynamic form. There are also enclosed graphs showing the texture, form, harmony and higher-order rhythm of the composition.

This thesis focuses on the personality of Alexander Nikolayevich Scriabin and his piano etudes, which are a source of technical skills for the study of the artist's other works. The main scope of work is to include all aspects that can assist the artist or piano lecturer in their study, ie. Etudes inclusion in the context of the composer's life and his entire piano works, profiling etudes by technical demands on performers, individual characteristics etudes and last but not least, formal analysis and interpretation of the author's etudes. Finally, work is a summary of general features that are common to all etudes and an outline of the author's musical development, which in the course of writing etudes passed.
S. V. Rachmaninov: Etudes tableaux

Etudes Tableaux are definitely part of repertoire of most of the pianists. I study some of them and that is why I would like to attend to basic problems which interpreter can have during the studies with. I tried to characteristic each of them. I also attached to all of them formal structure and summarised interpretative analyse. In my thesis in the regards for the range I cared just about the analysis of Etudes Tableaux op 39.
