Altruism and solidarity in Christianity as an impetus of social work
Erdinger, Michael ; Tomeš, Igor (advisor) ; Černá, Milena (referee)
charitable projects were born in church environment and church members were among the first social workers ever. Do Christian churches have such a remarkable influence on social work evolution? Is Christian altruism, help without the expectation of subsequent satisfaction, involved in social services development? Is the social mission of humanity truly part of the accents of church doctrine? This paper tried to evaluate whether the church highlights, supports and develops social and charitable pursuit, if it invites its members to gratuitous support for other members of the community and if it was at the eve of social activities in contemporary society.
Social work as one of the commitments of a Christian
Erdinger, Michael ; Filipi, Pavel (advisor) ; Beneš, Ladislav (referee)
In my diploma work - Social work as one of the commitments of a Christian - I deal with an influence of christian message on formation of the social work. On examples of bilical passages I want to show, that christianity is a religion with a clear social aspect. Whitout practical filling of service to a fellow would christianity loose one of its pillar. In excursion into history of christian social activities I focused on a primitive church, next on the situation in Middle Age and at the end on modern history with a overrun to presence. A part of historic excursion is also an analysis of Papal social encyclics, which are a background of catholical social doctrine and they are reacting on actual social situation in christian perspective. At the end I deal with chosen social activities of today churches D in comparison of individual and institutional social activities. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

The fundamental question of this thesis is therefore: What are the differences between the work provided by volunteers and the work provided by employees? The theoretical part is dedicated to investigation of theoretical knowledge from this field just as the aims and strategies of human resource management, the processes of human resource management, or human resource management of voluntary organizations. The empirical part is dedicated to the qualitative research in two local YMCAs - one representing an organization based on the work of employess, other representing a voluntary organization. The research focuses on the ways of human resource management in these organizations - in particular the processes of human resource management. The aim is to find common elements and differences in all these parts of the work with personnel, to set up a main theme of the whole research and to formulate several conclutions...
