Donor eating habits and drinking schedule before plasmapheresis

(thesis): Background: This study explores the issue of eating habits and water intake of blood plasma donors. Objectives: The aim of this research was to map the blood plasma donors' awareness of well-balanced diet, evaluate their eating habits and water intake. Inquire donors' knowledge of plasmapheresis, their awareness of food suitable for replenishing proteins after the collection of blood plasma and iron in low levels of haemoglobin. Compare the differences in eating habits between men and women. Map the frequency of rejected plasma donors due to low haemoglobin, high level of leucocytes or chylous plasma. In the conclusion the respondents evaluate their own knowledge of the given problems. Methods: The research was conducted in a method of a standardised anonymous questionnaire. Overall data of 300 respondents attending a private plasma centre were processed while maintaining ethical principles. The research took place in 14 days, from 18th November 2015 until 2nd December 2015, so as to avoid a situation in which one client fills more than one questionnaire. The questionnaires were filled anonymously by clients waiting for their plasma to be taken or during the process in a donation chair. Gynecological care and reproductive health in female drug users

Backrounds: Usage of addictive substances is a factor which affects the reproductive health of the female users, it affects their risky sexual behavior and fetus healthy development during pregnancy of drug using mothers. Pregnancy also represents a moment in their lifes which affects certain bio-psycho-social aspects forming the beginning of usage of substance abuse. Objectives: The aim of the research was to map a degree and paterns among problem female drug users and changes throughout pregnancy, map the risks of their sexual behavior and quality of their reproductive health, try to find out the availability of gynacology care for female drug users, the amount of care available before, through and after pregnancy. It also includes specific needs and factors affecting reproductive health. Methods and research group: A questionnaire survey of 25 problem female users based on consultations with them, all of them giving birth at least once, was carried out. The study took place at K-center Sananim, using a Field program Progressive, o.s. and around this facility and the place of field program using the "snow ball method". The relationship between the occurrence of infectious diseases and drug use in patients of Internal Medicine Clinic (6th station - Infection) University Hospital in Motol in 2011-12

Backrounds: The data source was a summary dossier on illegal drugs users' which heve been treated at the Department of Internal Medicine (6th station - Infection) University Hospital in Motol in 2011 and 2012. It was provided me by doctors. Objectives: The aim of the research was to determine the patients' compliance with the treatment and to describe the relationship between drug use, length of the drug career and the occurence of the infectious diseases. Methods: The comprehensive statistic information on the clients - drug users (315) which have been treated at the Department of Infectious Diseases of the University Hospital in Motol in 2011 and 2012 was analyzed using the analytical-statistical methods. The ethical principles were preserved. The study is retrospective, it hasn't taken place face meeting with these clients. Results: 315 of drug users were treated at the Department of Infectious Diseases of the University Hospital Motol in 2011 and 2012. There are 128 outpatients and 187 hospitalized following outpatient clinics. All patients were between 15 and 57 years old. The most common mode of drug use was intravenous application. Hepatitis occured in 66.2 % of the hospitalized drug addicts, infections of skin and soft tissues in 19.25 %. The sepsis was the reason of hospitalization in...
