Obstacles in Compulsory Education of Children from Socially Disadvantaged Families Viewed by Primary Carers

The bachelor thesis deals with the phenomenon of social disadvantage in connection with primary education. The aim of the thesis is to identify the obstacles in compulsory education of children from socially disadvantaged families viewed by primary carers. The first section describes, in general, the term social disadvantage, its impact on children's education, and the obstacles which can occur for those children. It also describes the possible support the school can give them in case of educational failure. The empirical part of the thesis is based on qualitative research whose responders were the primary carers of the children from socially disadvantaged families.
