The needs of transplanted patients after a re-enrollment in a long-term dialysis program
DUŠKOVÁ, Denisa
Introduction: In this bachelor thesis, the needs of transplanted patients re-entering a long-term dialysis program were examined. The unsatisfied needs of such patients may lead to a deterioration in their health. It is therefore important to perceive the patient's desires and wishes. The issues addressed in this thesis can contribute to a better understanding of the patient´s needs not only by the nursing staff, but also by the patient's family and his surroundings. Objective and research questions: The main objective of this study was to identify the specific needs of these patients. Answers were sought to the questions such as what the specific needs are, how the needs changed before transplantation and after re-entering the dialysis, which needs are not met adequately, and which ones are the most important for the patients. Methods: The data were obtained through qualitative research in the form of a semi structured interview at a selected dialysis center in the South Bohemian Region. The data were processed by the coding method using the ATLAS.ti statistical program. Subsequently, 5 categories were identified with their subcategories. Results: From the resulting data it was found that patients most desire the need for sleep and rest, being pain-free, leading a normal life, and receiving sufficient support from family. However, inadequate satisfaction in the area of sleep does not prevent patients from engaging in a form of physical activity, which positively affects their mental well being. It was also noted that the most important aspect for patients during dialysis is a calm and uncomplicated process. Conclusion: Despite the results of this research, it is necessary to consider a person as an individual being whose needs may differ from the majority.
Preparedness of ski instructors for working with a child with a disability/handicap during leisure activities
DUŠKOVÁ, Denisa
The bachelor's thesis deals with the preparedness of ski instructors for working with a child with a disability or handicap. The main aim of the thesis is to survey the preparedness of ski instructors for working with children with four selected types of disabilities (visual or hearing impairment, mental disability and autism spectrum disorder). The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part consists of four chapters, which deal with an inclusion, leisure, physical activities of children with a disability and a ski instructor. The practical part is focused on getting specific data about the issue. To fulfill the main aim is used quantitative research and the research method is a questionnaire survey which is intended for the ski instructors. The questionnaire survey shows that the ski instructors are willing to work with children with four selected types of disabilities, but their preparedness isn't on the sufficient level. Several possible solutions for improving this situation are stated in the discussion.
The activity of the integrated rescue system during floods in a village with extended powers
DUŠKOVÁ, Denisa
The main topic of the bachelor's thesis is the floods in 2002 and 2013 in the entire affected area of the Czech Republic and also in the village with extended powers of Vodňany. The activities of the relevant authorities and the population were evaluated, focusing on the extent of the evacuation and the progress of the basic and other components of the integrated rescue system. The theoretical part begins by defining important legislation for this topic, which is a basic pillar here. Furthermore, this section contains a description of the integrated rescue system, flood authorities and individual measures before and during the flood. There is also a simple explanation of the term "evacuation" and the last chapters of the theoretical part include the floods in 2002, 2013 and the flood situation in Europe in 2021, because in each country the intensity of floods, their consequences, course, but also the progress of rescue services and the attitude of the population varies more or less. The scenario is not always the same, and it is important to know how other countries will deal with a living disaster of this magnitude. The practical part focused on a detailed description of the content of the Digital Flood Plan of the town of Vodňany, a breakdown and assessment of the activities of the authorities and the integrated rescue system during the floods in 2002 and 2013 in Vodňany and finding out the knowledge and preparedness of the Vodňany population on the topic of floods. The results of this survey were developed into graphs. Based on the acquired knowledge, it can be stated that there are obvious shortcomings in the knowledge of the citizens of Vodňany on the topic of floods.
