Design and realization of an optical receiver module for VLC purposes.
Grygar, Josef ; Vitásek, Jan (referee) ; Dobesch, Aleš (advisor)
This work is focused on free space optical communication in visible electromagnetic spectrum known as visible light communication (VLC). Basic parameters of standard IEEE 802.15.7, advantages and disadvantages are discussed in the theoretical part of this work. Furthermore, optical link and it´s parts are described. The largest part of the work is focused on design and simulation of optical receiver for visible spectrum. Selection of component, noise and SNR calculation is discussed as well. This work also includes calculation of power energy in different parts of optical connection, PCB design of optical receiver, transmitters and power supply and output board. Behavior and parameters of electronic circuits, components and optical connection are explored, measured and compared with theoretical values.
Monochromator
Křivák, Jiří ; Dobesch, Aleš (referee) ; Barcík, Peter (advisor)
This work is focused on analyzing the working principle of monochromator and specifically on HRS-2 Jobin Yvon monochromator with Czerny-Turner optical system. Next, there is described working principle of a diffraction grating, its properties, and design of individual optical system. The suitable wide-spectrum optical source is specified.
Laser subtitles projector
Remeš, Adam ; Vitásek, Jan (referee) ; Dobesch, Aleš (advisor)
The content of this work is the design and implementation of HW supported by SW for viewing subtitles into the movie, which translates from the projection equipment on 16 mm film, synchronizing subtitles with the movie, at the same time the work also addresses the issues of principle changes the distance of the canvas. Subtitles are loaded by using the SD card slot control by using the control, which is used to display graphics monochrome buttons that are also used for setting the device and its modifications.
Development and Verification of DC/DC Converter for Future Automotive Lighting Systems with Net Voltage of 48V
Pospíšil, Josef ; Kubíček, Michal (referee) ; Dobesch, Aleš (advisor)
The aim of this master thesis is to describe the requirements put on electronics and headlights within car industry, above all on the newly emerging 48V power network. In the thesis the principles of chosen DC/DC buck converter topologies are briefly described. In the next part of this thesis the converters are designed and manufactured. Further, the EMC chamber measurement of these converters and their subsequent evaluation is performed. In the last part the proposed converters are compared and evaluated.
Design and realization of remote control for tunable laser
Vrtělková, Hana ; Barcík, Peter (referee) ; Dobesch, Aleš (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is concerned with a design a the realization of wireless communication between a laser and a computer through serial interface RS232. It takes account of the possibility of communication using bluetooth and wifi technology. The output of this thesis is device which serves as a convertor from RS232 to BT version 4.0 and programme which controls laser via convertor using computer.
Laser Diode Controller with Analog Modulation
Král, Vojtěch ; Dobesch, Aleš (referee) ; Barcík, Peter (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis deals with a design of the controller for a laser diode with the possibility of analog modulation. The basic parameters (current, voltage, temperature and optical power) are shown on an alphanumeric LCD display with the driver SPLC780. Core of this project is the laser driver MLD203CHB. Control is realized by buttons, which are setting the value of digital potenciometre, which is connected to the reference. Everything is controlled by the microcontroller ATMGEA328P. Temperature is measured with the analog sensor TMP36. Cooling of the laser diode is implemented by a peltier module controlled by the microcontroller.
Design and realization of D class audio amplifier controlled by microcontroller
Dobesch, Aleš ; Frýza, Tomáš (referee) ; Adamec, Filip (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor’s thesis is to design and construct D Class power amplifier of small proportions using modern integrated circuits. Implement a control software and measure parameters. Thesis describes principle of D Class power amplifiers, choosing suitable components and complete hardware device solution. Control unit is provided by microcontroller AVR ATmega164PA. This power amplifier is extended with radio remote control and effective box.
Power line data transfer
Ryška, Aleš ; Janík, Lukáš (referee) ; Dobesch, Aleš (advisor)
This thesis deals with powerline communication and application its use in headlamp. In thesis are compared various commercial available solutions, especially the Qualcomm QCA7000 modem. Furthermore, the work deals with the design and the prototype for exploring the applicability of the existing wiring in automobile. The aim of the thesis is to construct a prototype that allows the communication with the front lamp of the car via the power line.
Temperature measurements with PT100 for aerospace applications
Závorka, Radek ; Dobesch, Aleš (referee) ; Kolka, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with design of temperature measurement system, which is focused on aviation applications. The design emphasizes fulfilment of aviation standards, especially protection against voltage needle pulses and transient phenomena caused by lightning. Device must be resistant against electromagnetic interference. The core of equipment is AD converter with current source from Texas Instruments, which is suitable for connect different type of sensors. The whole system is controlled by microcontroller from ARM series. The measurement values are display on monitor of computer, which is connect by serial line.
An Optical D/A Converter for VLC Applications
Dobesch, Aleš ; Vlček, Čestmír (referee) ; Vašinek, Vladimír (referee) ; Wilfert, Otakar (advisor)
Disertační práce se zabývá optickým digitálně-analogovým převodníkem, jako alternativou optické části koncové vysílací jednotky (optický front-end) určené pro VLC (visible light communication) aplikace. Stěžejní část práce, která se věnuje numerickému modelování optického kanálu, prezentuje vliv bitové hloubky, topologie koncové části optického vysílače a geometrického uspořádání na přenášený signál. Součástí práce je návrh, realizace a ověření parametrů optického digitálně-analogového převodníku vycházející z předcházejících simulací. V poslední řadě práce obsahuje demonstraci vysokorychlostní optické komunikace s využitím navrženého VLC optického vysílače.
