Technical condition of sewer pipes

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to define damages of sewer pipes from the constructional point of view and by selected damages set the limits according to valid standards in the Czech Republic. The beginning of this work is an introduction to the legislative and setting of the basic concepts. Another point of this part is to characterize particular materials and damages by which are they effected. It is the questions of ovalisation, longitudinal bending, positional deviation, mechanical wear, corrosion, crack, pipe break and collapse. The main point of this work are calculation part, where the limits for selected damages of particular materials are set one by one. The result are the summary tables that shows the limits and allow the comparison of these analysed sewer pipe materials.

The study sewerage city Rokytnice nad Rokytnou

This work deals with factual building, which is a sewerage in the town of Rokytnice nad Rokytnou. The aim of this work is to propose measures to reduce inflow of redundant water to the local wastewater treatment plant. A method chosen to achieve it is an assesment the most problematic location and making a plan. This work includes among other outputs from the primary exploration and a condition survey, hydrological analysis and designing of two measures. These designs are complemented by the calculation of investment costs and their comparison. Appendix to this work contains drawings and the sheets from condition survey.

Replacement of singularities in static spacetimes

This bachelor thesis deals with the possibility of using the variational principle in the se- arch for internal solutions replacing singularities in static spacetimes. In the first instance, the thesis introduces the problematics on the simple case of classical Newton's gravity, where it also shows its practical application on several simple examples of symmetric potentials, and then it tries to generalize the theory for Einstein's gravity. It turns out that the relativistic problem could be loosely related to the so-called quadratic gravity as the internal solution is being found as a minimizer of a functional composed of quadrates of the Ricci tensor, the Weyl tensor and scalar curvature. Subsequently, it is verified that the newly presented theory in the newtonian limit yields the same results as the classical one. Finally, the thesis deals with the use of this theory to find an internal solution replacing the singularity in Schwarzschild spacetime and discusses its properties. 1
