Women as victims of domestic violence and use of restorative justice in cases of domestic violence in the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis aims to outline the perspective of people involved in domestic violence on its connection with restorative justice. It focuses on the target group, which are women as victims of domestic violence, their needs and work with them. The theoretical part describes basic concepts such as domestic violence, its characteristics, types, story and consequences, the concept of restorative justice and mediation. The practical part explores, by means of semi- structured interviews, the attitude of social and probation officers towards restorative justice as such and what concerns and suggestions for possible implementation they have in relation to the use of restorative justice and mediation in cases of domestic violence. Diploma thesis Possibilities of independence and reintegration of clients using long term transitional housing for homeless people - focusing on Prague deals with problem of barriers in a reintegration process of homeless people. It is a primarily unavailability of follow up affordable housing and non-existent system of social housing in the Czech republic. The consequence is long term remain in the transitional housing or in a hostel without possibility of full return to the society. This problem is not resolved neither providing social benefits for housing. Because often the people in need don't get them or the benefits are abused by the owners of the hostels. This metod of solving is very overpriced and unpromising for the future. The solution could be creating a system of the social housing, which would include a few levels of housing which would follow one another. The top would be an ordinary affordable housing. Issues of transgenerational violence among families in the Czech Republic from the perspective of social work

(in English): This diploma thesis focuses on domestic violence from its history to the definitions of both a person in need and a violent person. It also describes legal tools of protection against domestic violence in the Czech Republic and its possiblities of help endangered persons as well as violent persons from the point of view of social work. The main topic is trans-generational violence in families which deals with these groups: children (descendants) versus parents, grandchildren versus grand-parents and last but not least great-grand parents versus their families. Describing what consequences of the transgenerational violence might have on every single member of family, victims themselves, offenders and their closest relationships. The practical part is based on mixed-research, especifically on surveys questionnaires of professionals from helping professions, who are concerned with the issues of transgenerational violence. The semi-structured questionnaires concentrate on possibilities of help of social work to victims and offenders. Moreover, motives, factors, services, prevention of transgenerational violence and domestic violence are emphasis.
University of Social and Political Sciences 1945-1953 with Focus on Social Work

The University of Political and Social Sciences was established by the Decree of the President in 1945 as a four-year state university in Czechoslovakia. Together with the faculties of Journalism and Politics, the Faculty of Social Studies was established. My work focuses on the curriculum of the school from 1945 to 1953 and describes teaching social workers in the context of historical changes when closing this school meant a significant reduction of social work until, at least, 1968. Benefit of my work is in processing of previously unpublished information especially in the field of university studies. Genesis of social housing in the Czech Republic

The aim of my bachelor thesis "The genesis of social housing in Czech Republic" is to describe formation of social policy instruments. Especially characterize the field of support for people in need, from the very first intervention of the state to current efforts to establish legally anchored system of social housing in Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part examines historical development of social policy instruments in Czech Republic from the 19th century to transformation processes of social policy that started in early 90's. The second part focuses on definition of social housing and experiences with this concept in Czech Republic as well as within the states of the European union. This part is also talking about progress in efforts of defining and establishing social housing legally like one of the form of help for people in need. There is also part devoted to description of aspects that currently influence housing situation in negative way.
The alternate care in the families with a history of domestic violence

The theme of this bachelor's thesis is the issue of joint custody in a context of problems of families with a history of domestic violence. The theoretical part describes the main characteristics of joint custody, the conditions for its court order and the basic legislative frameworks on which it's based. Attention is also paid to the proponents or opponents of this form of child care in the post-divorce period. The reader is introduced to the specifics of domestic violence, its dynamics and impact on a child in a family. In the end of the theoretical part are described some of the forms of possible solutions that the existence of domestice violence in conjuction with the joint custody requires. The practical part deals with case studies of families with a history of domestic violence in which was applied the joint custody on the basis of a court decision.

Risk of social exclusion of women - victims of partnership violence. Explorative probing into these problems from the point of view of helping professions

This doctoral work deals with the risk of social exclusion of women - victims of partnership violence by means of explorative probing into these problems from the point of view of helping professions. The aim of the submitting work is to find out to what extent partnership violence influences their possible risk of social exclusion and following social dis/integration together with identifying barriers which can obstruct the efficiency of provided interventions. Partial results of qualitative investigation in this work have proved that the impact of partnership violence on possible social exclusion and social dis/ integration of persons at risk is provable. However, it is not possible to generalize because there are also some other factors taking part in this process such as learned public insufficient knowledge of foreign models of protection and help to the victims of partnership violence and conservative and disunited adoption of the old law of protection against homicide from the side of legislative and repressive state constituent parts , bad service availability and interconnection in the social network.
