Effectiveness of a mentoring programme to increase the relational competence in 12-26 years-old

Formal youth mentoring is a form of work with young people that is increasingly being used as prevention in the social system. However, the evidence confirming the effectiveness of mentoring is still insufficient, and foreign studies often contradict each other. There is no consensus on which areas mentoring has a positive impact on mentees, nor on which factors are important for creating a trusting and secure mentoring relationship. Therefore, the thesis aims to first offer a comprehensive overview of the theoretical background on which youth mentoring is based, what developmental theories it draws from, which factors influence its effectiveness, and in which areas we can therefore observe positive changes in mentees. The empirical part of the thesis presents research conducted in a peer mentoring program Ve dvou se to lépe táhne by the organization Lata - programy pro mládež a rodinu, z. ú.. The aim of the research was to determine the effectiveness of this program on the examined relational competencies of 17 mentees. The competencies were communication, relationship with the other and relationship with oneself. Violence in family and its risks to the child

This bachelor thesis introduces the topic of children exposed to domestic violence and impacts of such violence on these children. Firstly, domestic violence, its forms and used terminology is briefly described. Then it compares the consequences of domestic violence and of CAN syndrome. The thesis then focuses on children as primary and secondary victims of domestic violence and it compares these two groups. Externalizing and internalizing behaviours as the outcomes of exposure to domestic violence are described with age and gender as moderators. The children's relationships with their parents who are the perpetrators and the issue of intergenerational transmission of violence is also described. Eventually, the thesis presents mediators which influence the severity of outcomes of exposure to domestic violence. The research part of this thesis is based on the proposal of both quantitative and qualitative research which aims to map out the outcomes of exposure to domestic violence on children in the Czech Republic. Comparison of the city mass transportation in Hradec Králové and in Pardubice

In the work, there are compared the city mass transportation systems in two cities in the light of the main indicators for the inhabitatnts. The main indicators are: services, rolling stock, timetables, stops and information centres. All these indicators allow to compare and identify the systems, if they have the similarities or some important differencies.
