Controversial symbols - Comprehension of the meaning of symbols by contemporary young people

CONTROVERSIAL SYMBOLS Comprehension of the Mening of Symbols by Contemporary Young People Annotation This thesis considers controversial symbols and deals with a conception of this topic in school education. It attempts to involve a rate of knowledge of young people in symbology. It also surveys an approach to this topic in our educational system. The main aim of this thesis is to suggest a suitable model of teaching this topic. I have chosen four symbols:a swastika ( and nazi symbology), a red star with five tips ( and communist symbology), a cross and a skull. These symbols present a topic of a questionary distributed in classes and they are a topic of a school project suggested at the end of this thesis.
