The Life of Homeless Women in a Selected Region through the Eyes of Themselves

The bachelor thesis deals with the life of homeless women in České Budějovice. The main aim of the thesis is to present the various challenges that are related to the loss of housing, and to find out what the most common causes of homelessness of women in České Budějovice are. The practical part of this bachelor thesis is conducted through the qualitative research strategy. The method of questioning and the technique of semi-structured interview were used. The research sample consists of eight homeless women living in the area of the South Bohemian Region, specifically in České Budějovice. The research sample was selected using the snowball sampling method. The results of the interviews were collected and further processed using the open coding method. Through this method, ten categories with specific codes were created. The results of the research showed that the most common causes of homelessness of women in České Budějovice are domestic violence and unsatisfactory (dysfunctional) relationships with family. The communication partners also shared dissatisfaction with the current situation and stated that they wished to change their situation. It also became apparent that the communication partners consider the absence of stable housing to be the main problem. This bachelor thesis could serve, for example, as a source of information for students or as feedback for social service providers in České Budějovice

There is a risk we will not have antibiotics effective against pathogenic microorganisms in future. It is therefore very important to make guidelines for rational prescribing and use of antibiotics. Aim: Analyze antibiotic consumption data package collected in given period depending on consumer age or sex. Analyze which group of doctor prescribes antibiotics in most cases. Analyze the most prescribed substances depending on different expression of consumption and compare obtained data with available data. Methods: Source of data is a database of employment insurance. The number of insurance clients was 129 699 in 2006 and 131 876 in 2007. Antibiotic use was evaluated, namely the group J01 of ATC system - Antibacterial drugs for systemic use. Data cover years 2006 and 2007. AISLP-CR, version 2008.4 is a database used for searching information about different drugs and substances. PHARMACOTHERAPY ANALYSIS OF DIABETES MELLITUS IN DIABETOLOGIC CONSULTING ROOM Student: Buriankova L. Tutor: Vlcek J., Dept. of Social and Clinical Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Kralove, Charles University in Prague,Czech Republic Background: Diabetes mellitus type 2 is a group of metabolic diseases whose common trait is hyperglycaemia. Aim: To assess the group of patients, diabetics with type 2 diabetes mellitus according to different points of view and to assess their treatment. Methods: 106 patients with DM type 2 (49 male, 57 female, mean age 61,8) were retrospectively studied for 23 months. The data were obtained from patient's data in diabetologic consulting room. Results: The concentrations of glycosylated haemoglobin were in 45 % of patients less than 6,5, 13 % of patients had these concentrations 6,5-7,5 and this can be considered as satisfying state of disease. 42 % respondents had higher concentrations of glycosylated haemoglobin. The most common medication in monotherapy were sulfonylureas in 25 % of patients and metformin in 16 % of patients. The most common combination of antidiabetics were metformin with sulfonylureas in 17 % and metformin with insulin in 12 % of patients. Passenger rail transport in the Czech Republic and Slovakia

In this bachelor thesis I analyzed the differences in rail passenger transport in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. In the following chapters, I described different companies operating in the passenger transport market. I will discuss who determines the price of travel tickets, what regulations are in force by the EU and also how they work in a practical environment. At the end, I will focus later as it develops the liberalization of the rail passenger market in the CR and SR, and what projects are in those countries prepared or held.
