Financial and Economic Strategy of Company
Štefan, Petr ; Burešová, Renáta (referee) ; Groligová, Ivana (advisor)
This Master’s thesis analyses current financial strategy of MAGNETON a.s. and investigates the influence of the investment plan on MAGNETON´S growth in the world market. The outcome of this thesis is the appraisal of effects and risks of the intended investment and proposal of the optimal way for future financing.
Assessment Financial Position in Magneton and proposal for her improvement
Sedláčková, Lucie ; Burešová, Renáta (referee) ; Zinecker, Marek (advisor)
The goal of thesis is assessment financial position in Magneton on the basis chosen methods of financial analysis and formulation proposals for improvement in problem areas. The first part is dedicated to the theory, the next part concern about elementary methods application, after that follows assessment financial position of this company during the period 2003 - 2007 and formulation of recommendation for improvement in problem areas
Carbon sequestration in grassland ecosystems at various spatial scales
BUREŠOVÁ, Renata
The aim of this work was to get information about the carbon sequestration in selected types of the grasslands ecosystems of regional study area (upper part catchment area of the Stropnice river), and upscale these results to the total area of regional study, eventually to larger areas on the base of maps with different size of minimal mapped unit.Three aspects of the carbon sequestration at sampling sites were studied: biomass production, quantity and quality of litter and decomposition rate. Appropriate aproach to up-scaling method and possibility of usage less detailed mapping layer Corine-LC for carbon stock study was verified through the biotope valuation method (BVM). This method allowed to compare the results on different levels of sample site data generalization.
Plant - invertebrate herbivore interactions on intra- and interspecific level
Kuglerová, Marcela ; Münzbergová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Burešová, Renáta (referee)
Plants have been interacting with herbivores for several hundred million years. Herbivores consume a large portion of biomass produced by plants. In response to herbivore attacks, plants have evolved a diverse complex of direct and indirect defenses to reduce herbivory and the impacts on plant performance. This bachelor thesis is focused on plant-herbivore interactions especially on different ways of plant defense of terrestrial ecosystems against invertebrates herbivores. This thesis is dealing with costitutive defenses a well as induce defenses that occur after herbivore attack. Plant defenses can be also categorized into three categories of resistance, tolerance and phenological escape. Mechanical, chemical and visual defenses are discussed in detail as mechanisms of resistance. Apart from defense mechanisms distinguishing individual species this study review intraspecific variability in plant defense against herbivores caused by different habitats in which plant grow or originate and plant size or variation in composition of secondary metabolites. Up-scaling of combined Natura 2000-BVM mapping to the area of the Czech Republic using Corine-LC mapping
Burešová, Renata ; Cudlín, Pavel
The aim of this work was to determine the per cent representation of 192 biotopes in the individual classes Corine_LC and to precise biodiversity point values of these classes using up-scaling of combined mapping Natura 2000-BVM (Biotope Valuation Method) on the territory of the whole Czech Republic. On the basis of specified point values it was possible to to count financial biodiversity values of the whole Czech Republic.
Energy-Water-Vegetation Based Environmental Accounting of Ecosystem Services and Stocks
Seják, J. ; Pokorný, J. ; Cudlín, Pavel ; Burešová, Renata ; Prokopová, Marcela
Human societies and their economies decisively depend on the life supporting functions and services of earth’s ecosystems (MEA 2005). Natural ecosystems protect against harmful cosmic radiation, continually control the composition of atmosphere, produce fertile soil and biomass, clear air and water, mitigate climate extremes, maintain biodiversity, decompose organic waste etc.
Vegetation carbon-stores and net primary in upper Stropnice river catchment
Stará, Lenka ; Bodlák, L. ; Pokorný, J. ; Macků, J. ; Janderková, J. ; Šefrna, L. ; Středa, T. ; Burešová, Renata ; Pechar, Libor ; Cudlín, Pavel
Vegetation carbon-stores were quantified and net primary production estimated in upper Stropnice river catchment.Subsequently carbon cycle in the studied territory was composed for to estimate the total carbon balance of the area.Based on the results studied territory appear to be a carbon sink,i.e.carbon storing area.
