Fourteenth century textile fragments from the royal crypt in St. Vitus Cathedral

Fourteenth century textile fragments from the royal crypt in St. Vitus Cathedral This bachelor work will give not only a brief history of the mediaeval silks found in the royal crypt in 1928 but mainly concentrate on a group of fragments originating from the common coffin of four wives of Charles the IV and other persons. The research done in the restoration workshop of the Prague Castle should record the present state of the funerary textiles and collect as many information as possible to get a clearer idea about the original value and beauty of the historically most important material.
