Graphical encoding the third dimension for four to five children.
Škopková, Jana ; Kaslová, Michaela (advisor) ; Bomerová, Eva (referee)
RESUME My dissertation follows the subject of coding procedure. It focuses on the graphical coding, which naturally reveals within the child's artwork development. The dissertation aims at the transformation of 2D to 3D, vice versa. The four to five years old children are observed how they decode the three dimensional (3D) structure consisted of cubes into a two dimensional (2D) squared network. Observed children are offered various activities to prove whether they are able to accept the code, using the code to decode their own structure and finally build the structure using this code. My dissertation does not only represent an overview of commonly used symbols and methods and their records, but in particular brings interesting results and analyses of tests and comparations between individual children and kindergartens.
Educational and Diagnostic Potentials of the Surroundings Cobwebs in Classes of Pupils at the Age 1st and 2nd Year of Elementary School
Harcubová, Pavlína ; Hejný, Milan (advisor) ; Bomerová, Eva (referee)
This Diploma Thesis gives a complex portrait of not much prevalent yet, however very stimulating and motivating surroundings Cobwebs. The extensive structure of the principles that cobweb tasks follow, varied modifications and the system of marking cobwebs of the pyramid type was originated on the basis of nearly two-year author's own discovering of the surroundings and having realized experiments with the pupils of 1st and 2nd classes. Broad range of phenomenon, which influences the difficulty of the tasks, has been summarized in the part dealing with the didactics definition. The didactics aid - a model of cobweb, as well as the analyses and pupils' cognitive processes including their causes, that produce deeper understanding of surroundings Cobwebs, are parts of the supplement of the thesis.
Project "Class symbol" and a square grid
Olšovská, Petra ; Kaslová, Michaela (advisor) ; Bomerová, Eva (referee)
The thesis is based on the constructivistic approach to mathematics at primary school and geometry topics situated in the environment of square grid. It researches the extent to which pupils are able to use the experience with the square grid in the project method. For this purpose, observed two groups of pupils aged 10-11 years, experimental and control group. Work with the experimental group was situated in two weeks.

Educational and Diagnostic Potentials of the Surroundings Cobwebs in Classes in Classes of Pupils at the Age 3rd and 4th Year of Elementary School
Fialová, Hana ; Hejný, Milan (advisor) ; Bomerová, Eva (referee)
The Diploma Thesis presents the outcomes of the research based on solving the tasks of a mathematical surroundings Cobwebs by the pupils of the 3rd and the 4th classes of elementary school. The first chapter defines the surroundings from the mathematical point of view, the chapter two deals with the didactic application of Cobwebs. Interesting pieces of phenomenon occurred in the experiments and its roots are described in the following chapter as well as the results of a quantitative experiment. The last part of the thesis shows a course of the workshop at the conference Dva dny s didaktikou matematiky 2009 in Prague and describes the participants' comments to the surroundings of Cobweb tasks. The supplements include an elaboration of the experiments containing the protocol, evidence, comments, the cascade of the tasks and the video recording.
