BOHÁČOVÁ, Adéla
The bachelor thesis is focused on the topic of equestrian art within painting throughout several important artistic periods. The thesis is divided into three parts and further examines the evolution and domestication of a horse and its role in human life. More importantly, this paper deals with the history of the horse depiction within the art and its portrayal in mythology. The work also presents the artistic approaches of several authors who frequently used the horse as a symbolic image in their works. Furthermore, the paper consists of two 80x80cm acrylic paintings with the depiction of the horse and contains studies documenting the whole artistic process.
