Bořková, Veronika ; Mareš, Jiří (advisor) ; Dominik, Jan (referee) ; Ulrychová, Hana (referee)
The main topic of this research is to show the fact that there are no works about quality of life of patients before and after PCI in Czech Republic. The work has two parts. The first part is theoretical, it describes ischemic heart disease, its etiology, diagnose, clinic symptoms and therapy. The second empirical part is concentrated on the quality of life it self, its definition and its diagnostic methods and on own results of the research. There has been used the standardized questionnaire SF-36 in the work. The middle aged men (50-60 years old) which undergone PCI were the target population of the research. The results show the need of deep psychological support, because the questions concentrated on mentality did not result in better state, on the other hand questions from somatic field so. Generally is to be told, the patients after PCI profited eminently of this application and the quality of life increased rapidly.
