Social Networks as a communication channel of selected political parties before elections to the European Parliament in 2019

The diploma thesis "Social networks as a communication channel of selected political parties before the elections to the European Parliament in 2019" deals with political communication on the social network Facebook and Twitter. The aim of this thesis is to find out how selected political parties communicate on social networks in the election campaign, what type of form and content they used the most. The work also focuses on differences between communication on both networks. The theoretical part focuses on explaining the concept of political communication and political marketing, defines social networks and their types. The next sections are devoted to a brief description of selected networks and political subjects and describe the connection between the political space and the tools of social networks. The analytical part is based on a quantitative and qualitative content analysis in four weeks before the elections to the European Parliament in 2019. The gained data are supplemented by information from semi-structured interviews. The thesis evaluates the strategy of using social networks with the aid of established research questions and hypotheses.
Internal structure of the political party ANO and the change of statute after the national congress 2017

This bachelor thesis deals with the political party ANO and its internal structure. The aim of the thesis is to find out, how the individual organizational components of the party are functioning according to the valid party statutes and what role they have the chair and the founder of the political party ANO Andrej Babiš. The first chapter of the theoretical part focuses on the developmental typology of political parties, with an emphasis on the new business-firm- party model, whose authors are Jonathan Hopkin and Caterina Paolucci. This classification is followed in the next chapter by the theory of the party systems, according to Giovanni Sartori. In order to correctly fit the Czech party system into context, the following chapter describes its evolution from 1989 to the present. An important part of the theoretical part is the legal definition of the establishment and functioning of political parties and movements in the Czech Republic. The emphasis is on the provision of membership and principles, which must be part of all statutes. In the analytical part, the political party ANO, its origin, and development, is briefly introduced at the beginning. In the next chapter, all mandatory regulations and its changes were analyzed in detail. The statutes also include the definition of party bodies...
