Creating a modern web application
Fanta, Tomáš ; Sikora, Marek (referee) ; Benedikt, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design and development of a web application to enable the user to better understand the behaviour of critical infrastructure. The thesis describes the modern technologies that were used in the implementation. Furthermore, the thesis discusses the security risks of web applications. The main goal is to create the mentioned web application and secure it against common vulnerabilities.
Data encryption on USB flash drive
Bráblík, Petr ; Benedikt, Jan (referee) ; Komosný, Dan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the design and implementation of a security program for encryption and automatic decryption of data on a USB memory stick. The system is designed to facilitate the use of the operating system on a USB memory stick for seniors in the age group of 90 years and above. The goal is to load a live version of the operating system that can be directly run from the USB memory stick. The implementation of a group of scripts will ensure automatic decryption of data according to the MAC address of the computer in which the USB memory stick is located. Furthermore, the work includes a graphical application for modifying the allowed MAC addresses for automatic decryption. The application allows to add enabled MAC addresses, view the history of computers in which the USB memory drive was located, and back up user data to another drive running the legacy operating system. The results of the work are published on GitHub.
Application for senior caregiver
Žáček, Jan Filip ; Benedikt, Jan (referee) ; Komosný, Dan (advisor)
The main objective of this bachelor's thesis was to develop an application for a senior caregiver. Within this application, a graphical configuration option for selected settings in configuration files of the senior operating system (senior-os) applications is created. Furthermore, the application includes a graphical interface for displaying and filtering log levels of senior-os application activities. The caregiver application incorporates protection against phishing attacks using machine learning, which analyzes suspicious addresses listed in the activity logs of senior-os applications. The second objective of the bachelor's thesis was to design and implement a unified graphical environment in the form of a module that ensures clarity and consistency across all senior-os applications. The results of this work are published on the GitHub versioning platform under the MIT license.
Advanced Segmentation of a Simulated Network
Slávik, Mark ; Komosný, Dan (referee) ; Benedikt, Jan (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the simulation of available routing protocols in the NS3 simulator and in the Quagga module. The functions of simulated routing protocols are described in the theoretical part. In the practical part, the functionality of the NS3 simulator and the RIP, OLSR and OSPF, BGP routing protocols from the Quagga module are introduced using a simple topology. Finally, the network is extended and several subnets are added. Using available analysis tools, the network is subsequently analyzed and evaluated with different scenarios.
Data Anonymization in User Application
Zachoval, Tadeáš ; Komosný, Dan (referee) ; Benedikt, Jan (advisor)
The master thesis is focused on de-identification of personal data. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part describes the legal view of personal data and is mainly focused on the concepts and possible de-identification methods and the difference between them. The core of the theoretical part is a description of basic and some advanced anonymization and pseudonymization techniques. The practical part of the thesis then focuses on programming an application in the Python programming language with a graphical user interface. The application implements an algorithm to generate a testing fake dataset that can be used for de-identification. However, the main functionality of the application is the anonymization and pseudonymization of personal data. For this purpose, selected de-identification techniques are applied in the application.
Automated software project management
Dostál, Dominik ; Benedikt, Jan (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
This work describes and compares selected tools for continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD). Jenkins, GitLab, TeamCity, and Bamboo tools were compared according to the prepared methodology. Each of these systems was installed on a clean Ubuntu 20.04 LTE system, then configured and tested on a selected software project. The focus was placed on compatibility with Linux systems and C/C++ languages.
Linux kernel operating system optimization for battery-powered devices
Lefler, Přemysl ; Komosný, Dan (referee) ; Benedikt, Jan (advisor)
his thesis focuses on optimization of Linux-based operating system for a accumulator-powered device Raspberry Pi 4. Compared to other devices commonly used in Internet of Things projects, the Raspberry Pi 4 offers many functions within one device. However, the disadvantage is the high consumption of electricity. The aim of this thesis is to achieve greatest possible savings in electricity consumption of the Raspberry Pi 4 device, with regard to functionality of the device as a server for data collection from sensors.
Creating a VPN Access Point on Raspberry Pi
Kovařík, Martin ; Hájek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Benedikt, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with creating a virtual private network (VPN) access point on a single-board Raspberry Pi computer. The theoretical part describes the principle of VPN, the most common tunneling protocols and the Raspberry Pi computer in general with its various generations and models. Selected protocols are implemented on the Raspberry Pi and their hardware load, response and throughput are measured. The stability of the protocols is tested and reliability evaluated.

Automated creation of statistics of network traffic
Benedikt, Jan ; Frolka, Jakub (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
This Bachelor Thesis aims to process and present outcomes of stress testing. The frst chapter depicts basic terms closely connected to stress testing. Second part is concerned with the analysis of possible resolutions and their comparison between each other. The obtained theoretical knowledge is then applied to model sketch for a report, generated in form of the website. The model itself is created in JMeter program and it is written in the Java coding language. The generated website is programed in HTML, CSS and JavaScript languages.
