Strategy of population reallocation after radioactive accident in the Czech Republic, problematics of evacuation, basis, intention, resources, responsibilities

This thesis deals with the issue of evacuation and relocation of the population after a radiation accident in the Czech Republic and it also puts a name to key issues that may occur for a citizen living in the emergency zone. The dissertation is divided into two parts, first of which is theoretical and second is practical. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis is fractionated into several chapters and subchapters. Thesis deals with actual legislation of radiation protection and nuclear safety. Nuclear power plants located in the Czech Republic are also presented here. Furthermore, this section explains the basic terms such as radiation extraordinary mishap, radiation incident and phases of radiation accident which helps perceive the matter of the topic. The theoretical part mentions radiation incidents and accidents that occurred in the world. The thesis describes course of actions for managing radiation emergencies. It also explicates terms such as emergency planning, internal and external emergency plan and national radiation emergency plan. Thesis gives insight into the radiation accidents from the past. The theoretical part also concerns about the Dukovany nuclear power plant. And it analyzes what is the emergency planning zone, emergency plans, emergency staff and the most important procedures during a radiation accident. Warning and informing the population together with evacuation and possible additional relocation are explained. The part of this work are also experiences that we gained from the radiation accident at nuclear power plant in Fukushima. In the practical part, research was done with use of questionnaire method. The questionnaire was created for residents living in the vicinity to emergency planning zone of Dukovany nuclear power plant. The goal was to find out what key questions and problems may arise during the evacuation of those citizens. The survey was elaborated into graphs and collected pieces of information were interpreted and closely described in the discussion.
Scientific expeditions to Tibet and Qinghai since 1973

The thesis deals with scientific expeditions to the Tibetan plateau carried out by Chinese scientists from the 1950s. The whole thesis is framed by two models of the spread of Western science to an unknown land. Is it or is it not the spread of Western science into Tibet the form of colonial control? We will use these two models to answer this question. The thesis tracks the interests and the meaning of expeditions to China and Chinese science. It deals with the development of Chinese Academy of Sciences, which organized the Chinese expeditions. It also describes and summarizes the work and results of Chinese scientists which were presented at the international conference on Tibet in 1980, and examines their contributions to the Chinese and Western science. Part of the thesis deals with the reflection of otherness in the published interviews with participants which we use as primary sources for the thesis. Assessment of diagnosis by paramedic in pre-hospital emergency care

Proper diagnosis is difficult even for many years experienced physician. It requires a carefully collected anamnesis and ability to listen and perception of the patient. Paramedics in prehospital emergency care do not determine suspected diagnosis. They determine only rough description. Based on previous anamnesis, physical examination and premedical knowledge together with suspected diagnosis they send patient to appropriate department. Here he is taken by medical worker and examination is done again. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe procedure and find out most common mistakes which paramedics commit when they determine diagnosis during prehospital emergency care. The thesis is divided into theoretical and research section. Theoretical section is about general terms as anamnesis, laws, diagnosis and differential diagnosis of the most common diseases. Research in this thesis was done by qualitative method, data were collected by standardized interviews with paramedics from South Bohemia and Vysocina Region. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe procedure and find out most common mistakes which paramedics commit when they determine diagnosis during prehospital emergency care. Research showed that paramedics determine descriptive diagnosis several times a day and they know how to proceed correctly. They have a possibility from the employer to have special training regarding this issue, however they are missing feedback from hospital to verify correctness of determining the descriptive diagnosis. Participants would like to have this feedbacks it would be a confirmation of correctness of their prehospital care. The results of this thesis give the reader information on the issue and legislation in the theoretical part. The main benefit of this thesis should be the experiences and practices of paramedics from the Vysocina Region and the South Bohemian Region in determining descriptive diagnosis in prehospital emergency care.
Non-Chinese world through Chinese Eyes: Thematic and Motivic Analysis of the Short-story Collection Sahala de gushi by Woman Writer San Mao

This thesis presents short-story collection Stories of Sahara (Sahala de gushi) by taiwanese women writer San Mao. The first part of the thesis introduces modern Taiwanese literature in the half second of twentieth century. The second part of the thesis presents San Mao as a author of autobiographical prose and as a popular storyteller. It is for her Stories of the Sahara, that San Mao is best known, which records her personal experience of San Mao in the Sahara desert. The main part of the thesis is focused of motivic analysis of Stories of Sahara. The results of analysis allow a deeper presentation of writer's perception of differences worlds and culture.
