Application of sensorimotor stimulation in the treatment and prevention of ankle instability in Teamgym
Moláčková, Natálie ; Angelová, Gabriela (advisor) ; Vrbický, David (referee)
Tittle: Application of sensorimotor stimulation in the treatment and prevention of ankle instability in Teamgym Objectives: The aim of this work is to determine the effectiveness of a short- term therapeutic plan based on sensorimotor stimulation in selected gymnasts with a history of ankle sprains. Methods: The research group consisted of 7 gymnasts with a subjective feeling of ankle instability or with a history of injury. The participants underwent a three-week exercise program based on the sensorimotor stimulation method. The measurement took place in ÚPSL in Prague. The weight distribution in standing and the length of the COP trajectory in the static examination were monitored on the Footscan® pressure plate. Dynamic stability was tested by the Y-balance test. For data analysis was used paired t- test. Results: The research showed a positive effect of proprioceptive exercise based on sensorimotor stimulation on the weight distribution at Romberg's I, a partial effect on the length of the COP trajectory while standing on left leg and dynamic stability on the right leg. Conclusion: The therapeutic intervention had a positive effect on weight distribution at Romberg's I, a partial effect on the length of the COP trajectory and a partial effect in the dynamic test. The therapy was evaluated...
Preventive importance of facilitation therapy in patients with multiple sclerosis (focusing on selected hormones)
Angelová, Gabriela ; Řasová, Kamila (advisor) ; Hagovská, Magdaléna (referee) ; Ehler, Edvard (referee)
Physiotherapy has the potential to interfere with the neuroendocrine-immune system through natural stimuli, and thus regulate complex neuroimmune processes in the central nervous system. The ability to target the immune and endocrine systems through physical activity and physiotherapy could slow disease progression, streamline tertiary prevention of the development of clinical manifestations of the disease, disability, loss of self-sufficiency, and improve patients' quality of life. So far, only a few pilot projects have been implemented. One of them was our previous study, which allows modulating the immune and endocrine system using the methods Motor programme activating therapy - physiotherapeutic methods using neurophysiological knowledge (belongs to the category of neuroproprioceptive facilitation and inhibition). In this study, we increased the number of participants and included another physiotherapeutic method from the same category, Vojta's reflex locomotion. 44 patients with multiple sclerosis were randomly divided into two groups. Each underwent a different type of two-month outpatient neuroproprioceptive "facilitation and inhibition" physiotherapy (Motor programs activating therapy and Vojta's reflex locomotion). Over the next two months, participants continued autotherapy. We primarily...
Comparison of the effects of several physiotherapeutic methods in patients with multiple sclerosis
Emmerová, Ivana ; Řasová, Kamila (advisor) ; Angelová, Gabriela (referee)
The aim: The aim of this work is to compare the effects of different physiotherapy techniques (Motor programs activating therapy, Manual physiotherapy correction, Vojta's reflex locomotion) in patients with multiple sclerosis. Another aim is to compare the effect of continuing therapy after completion of the therapeutic program. The last aim of the study is to compare the perception of the effect of a physical therapist and the patient himself. The Method: 34 ambulant patients with multiple sclerosis were randomly divided into three groups (Motor programs activating therapy, Manual physiotherapy correction, Vojta's reflex locomotion) and underwent during two months 20 therapies. They passed the therapy 2-3 times per week, length of one therapy was 60 minutes. Clinical examination and questionnaire survey was conducted before the start of therapy, immediately after the end of the therapy program, and one month after the end of the therapy program. Results: All groups showed improvement observed parameters, but there were not indicate the significant differences between groups. Some effect of therapeutic programs persists even after cessation of therapy. Perception of the effect by physiotherapist and patient is different. In the group MPAT evaluate patient outcomes better than a therapist. Groups...
