3D Video Browser
Míchal, Vít ; Štancl, Vít (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
The aim of this project is to design and create application for the visualization of interconnected video data. Visualization takes place in 3D space and seeks to exploit its advantages (such as depth perception). This document contains survey to different categories of spatial user interfaces. In addition, includes three possible designs of user interfaces and control. Implementation details and made usability tests are also described. Application is implemented in C++ using Open Inventor. The document includes evaluation of the results and made tests.
Virtual blackboard
Smyček, Libor ; Švub, Miroslav (referee) ; Štancl, Vít (advisor)
This thesis deals with graphic information processing methods in relation to drawing application. It also defines theorems for geometric primitives operations on plane. The second part includes analysis and implementation of vitrual blackboard for usage at elementary and hight schools.
Interactive Medical Image Segmentation
Kříž, Radim ; Štancl, Vít (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This work deals with the possibilities of interactive segmentation of medical image data using a ITK library and segmentation method level-set. It discusses the possibilities of an interactive influencing of segmentation with user-defined edges and facilitate segmentation using modes allow automatic adjustment of parameters. An integral part of this work is user-friendly segmentation tool built on ITK library and segmentation method level-set, which clearly demonstrates the possibilities of modes and added edges in practice. Design and implementation of this tool is also part of this work.
Graphical Educational System
Hotař, Roman ; Seeman, Michal (referee) ; Štancl, Vít (advisor)
The purpose of this thesis is the proposal of the issue of education software for learning algorithms. Work approach to the problem, both from a theoretical point of view, of education and learning to new things, so and more important from a practical point of view for introduction to the process algorithmization. It also discusses the problem of learning algorithms in Czech schools and describes the resulting program, which was created along with this thesis. Contribution of this thesis is the summary of the requirements for the software and implementing software of this type, where is possible to demonstrate the problems and requirements of the draft programs of this kind. This thesis also describes the reactions of teachers to created application.
Stereometry Presentation Software
Kroupa, Ondřej ; Švub, Miroslav (referee) ; Štancl, Vít (advisor)
The application to promote and support learning of mathematics on a secondary school level in the area of stereometrical effect and in a field of problems illustrated with the help of anaglyphs.
Presentation Software - Solid Geometry, Stereometry
Straka, Tomáš ; Kubíček, Radek (referee) ; Štancl, Vít (advisor)
The main theme of this document is to describe the way of creating presentation software of solid geometry and stereometry. This application tool should help teachers more to explain the subject. Student has opportunity with this application to better understand explained subject. After a long  deliberation and cooperation with teachers from primary school we decided to choose a solid geometry and  stereometry like the aim of this application. Later we added part where I solve the right method used in geometry constructions. In this document is described the process of work proceeding beginning with analysis, over implementation to testing. Important parts of this application are graphic interface, application control tools and the form of object graphical representation.
Texture Synthesis
Havelka, Robert ; Štancl, Vít (referee) ; Švub, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with texturing, its importance and basic list of the processes during texture synthetising is included. Texture generating is mainly described from the procedural generator point of view. There is also explained the sense of using Fourier's transformation and its simplified version, the discreet cosine transformation. For texture modiffication, Gaussian noise and gaussian filter is used. The convolution theorem is applied for the texture mixing. Within the scope of this thesis, there is also described the application implementation, which enables experimenting with texture creating.
Graphical Tool for Image Processing Applications Creation
Horák, Lukáš ; Štancl, Vít (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This term project deals with creating visual tool for building image processing applications that is performed using the graphical interconnection of functional blocks. Graphical interconnection is realised by so-called node editor that is implemented in Qt framework. This framework is used across the project - for the user interface and management of dynamic libraries. OpenCV library is used as the basis for image processing, this tool can be extended to other methods of image processing using plugins included in the dynamic libraries. The tool interprets the proposed application, the proposal application is supported by the preview mode of the change in real time. The tool also contains a history of actions (Undo/Redo system).
Animation Library Focused on Skeletal Animations
Dokoupil, Petr ; Přibyl, Jaroslav (referee) ; Štancl, Vít (advisor)
This thesis proposes an architecture of animation engine flexible enough to support large scale of animation algorithms with unified approach to each one of them. One of the major goals of the engine is to support creation of very complex animation seqences with high degree of animation execution control. The main animation technique used in the engine is skeletal animation and some variants of this technique are already implemented within, but it was never meant to be skeletal animation only engine and is designed that way.
Dynamic Scene Model for Mobile Robot
Görig, Jan ; Štancl, Vít (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This master's thesis focuses on representation of geometric information about the surrounding environment for robotic systems. Instead of a common point-cloud based representation, an environment model that stores information about objects described by bounding boxes and planes is proposed. These objects can be obtained from trained object detectors, planar surface detectors, etc. processing data from sensors (e.g. RGB-D camera). The information about the objects (position, etc.) stored in the model is constantly changing according to data obtained from detectors. The environment model is implemented as a module for Robot Operating System. To illustrate and visualize features of the model, a demonstration application was also prepared.
