The Pedagogy of C. Freinet with an Aim towards Change in a Czech School

This thesis treats of Célestin Freineťs pedagogy and of his "Free Writing" technique. The theoretical part describes the circumstance of Freineťs pedagogy's emergence in its historical context, reformation movements in former Czechoslovakia, and current transformation process in our school system. Upon the aforementioned theoretical basis, this thesis shows how the Free Writing technique could possibly evolve if introduced into Czech elementary schools. The practical part builds upon Freineťs experience with integration of the Free Writing technique into current schools.
