The reconstruction of the prestressed railway bridge
Macková, Lucie ; Šedivý, Jan (referee) ; Klusáček, Ladislav (advisor)
Diploma thesis describes the design of main structure reinforcement of the railway bridge ,,Gagarin’’ in the 5,872 km of route Český Těšín – Ostrava Kunčice. Reinforcement is achieved by combination of composite slab-shaped channel with the continuous gravel ballast and free additional prestressing cables. There are 3 variants for which the design and assessment of main structure is performed. Evaluation of the options is performed on basis of calculations. There are made additional calculations and drawings for best variant.
Sediment deposition in reservoir of Nové Heřminovy dam
Kammermayer, Jan ; Šedivý, Jiří (referee) ; Zachoval, Zbyněk (advisor)
The thesis deals with silting of water reservoir Nové Heřminovy. There's describe design of artificial traffic and evaluate its effectiveness. To determine the flow of sediment into the reservoir with use a partially calibrated one-dimensional numerical model of sediment transport with deformation of bed is made in software HEC-RAS. Silting reservoirs is assessment with two methods, the results are compared and describes their limitations. Reservoirs silting evaluates through volume changes in reservoir storage in time.
Change of bed roughness by particle separation in the surface layer
Roháčová, Denisa ; Šedivý, Jiří (referee) ; Zachoval, Zbyněk (advisor)
This master thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical one. In the theoretical part there is described hydraulic roughness, velocity distribution in the case of hydraulically rough surface and the process of grain sorting in surface layer. The practical part of the thesis resolves the influence of surface layer on hydraulic roughness of bed, expressed by Nikuradse sand grain size ks. The results are formulas explaining dependence of ks on characteristic grain size dx from grain-size distribution curve and comparison with coefficient ks according to different authors.
Electronical system for greenhouse control
Šedivý, Jozef ; Štohl, Radek (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to develop an electronical system for greenhouse control, controlled by microcontroller. This device has been divided into 2 parts, which communicate between each other via RS422 interface. The system contains temperature, humidity and illumination sensor. Based on data from sensors, it controls climate conditions in a greenhouse.
Asylum Seekers in the Czech Republic and their employment
Botková, Tereza ; Nová, Monika (advisor) ; Šedivý, Jiří (referee)
This thesis deals with the possibilities of employment of Asylum seekers on the labour market in the Czech Republic. I analyse this issue from the perspective of the workers of the Organisation for Aid to Refugee (hereinafter referred to as the OAR), whose task is to assist Asylum seekers on the labour market. I set three research questions, one main and two secondary. They focus on the overall perspective of the participants, the OAR workers, on the issue of employment of the Asylum seekers, to identify the barriers perceived by the participants in their efforts to integrate their clients into the labour market. I was also interested in their suggestions for possible changes that would improve the chances of the target group in the labour market. This thesis includes a qualitative research inquiry, which is conducted in the form of semi-structured interviews with participants. The results of the interviews are subsequently processed using the method of thematic analysis in order to provide answers to the research questions. The eight participants I selected from the OAR have personal experience with the target group of Asylum seekers. They are four lawyers and four social workers. The first chapter of the thesis describes the terms for different residence possibilities of foreigners in the Czech...
Constitutional Conventions of the President of the Slovak Republic
Šedivý, Jakub ; Brunclík, Miloš (advisor) ; Hájek, Lukáš (referee)
The eminent Slovak author Marian Giba argues, in connection with the Constitutional Law applied in Slovakia, that the Slovak constitutional system is neither currently based on an unwritten law, nor will it be short. However, this does not mean that in society there is no room for applying the conventions mentioned above in practice. Constitutional conventions are and will continue to be an integral part of the exercise of the mandate of the President of the Slovak Republic. Unlike a constitutional text, a constitutional convention does not emerge overnight. But on the contrary, the process of creating constitutional conventions is purely gradual and many times even subtle in practice. With the thesis problem, I tried to build on my bachelor thesis research, where I examined whether the Constitutional Constitutions were violated in practice by the President of the Slovak Republic at the most critical moments during the governmental crisis in Slovakia in 2018. In this case, I tried to focus on only one constitutional convention. The research question of the final master thesis was to find out the concept of a critical Constitutional Conventions in the territory of Slovakia, i.e., the assignment of the representative of the winning political party to form a new government. Through careful analysis,...
Inflammatory and Fibrotic Myocardial Involvement
Šedivý, Jakub ; Hromádka, Milan (advisor) ; Mayer, Otto (referee) ; Pařenica, Jiří (referee)
1 Inflammatory and fibrotic myocardial involvement MUDr. Jakub Šedivý, Kardiologické oddělení FN Plzeň Introduction: The aim of my work was to evaluate the comprehensive approach to diagnosis and eventually monitoring the trend in two cardiac diseases of non-ischemic etiology. The first part is focused on evaluation of the inflammatory changes in patients with "infarct-like" myocarditis based on magnetic resonance (MRI) and laboratory tests. We also considered the possibility of restricting the length of physical activity restriction by bicycle ergometry. The second topic was the comprehensive assessment of cardiac risk in patients with systemic sclerosis, including the assessment of possible MR and new laboratory markers of myocardial fibrosis. Materials and methods: In the first part, we included prospectively 30 patients with "infarct- like" myocarditis and with a positive finding of late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) on MRI. Follow up MRI, echocardiography and stress ECG were performed at 1 and 6 month intervals. In the study focused on systemic sclerosis, a total of 33 long-term patients were prospectively enrolled. The study included a comparison of a group of 20 healthy volunteers. Results: In 47% of patients with infarct-like myocarditis, we found a left ventricular dyskinesia, but only 17% of...

According to foreign sources of information both in some European and non-European countries Japan, detailed compiled examples of senior volunteering are adapted. The second part of the PhD thesis is processed in the form of a research survey, which aimed to map the work of senior volunteers in social services, its benefits, risks and barriers based on a two-phase research survey. The opinion of the employees of the organization that provides social services for senior volunteering and organizations without experience with senior volunteering, the method of...
Zhodnocení využití malé zahradní techniky jednotkami hasičského záchranného sboru České republiky
Šedivý, Josef
The aims of the thesis are the evaluation and the assessment of the use of the small garden technology during the fire units operations. In the thesis, the operations are divided into the green area maintenance technology at the fire stations and into the techniques for performing rescue and disposal operations. The thesis is mainly focused on the technique used for performing rescue and disposal operations, which are the main activities of the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic. The thesis compares and evaluates the current state and in particular proposes a new concept of fire trucks equipment with chainsaws. The proposed concept is based on a questionnaire survey, data collection from databases of the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic, test trials, calculations and personal experiences of the author, a chainsaw instructor. The proposed concept should improve the ability to perform even the most demanding interventions effectively, efficiently, safely and conveniently. And in cost comparison, it is even cheaper.
