Design of surface texturing experimental rig
Bouma, Adam ; Svoboda, Petr (referee) ; Šamánek, Otakar (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is mechanical indenter design, mainly two basic parts of this apparatus. The introductory section describes the basic techniques of mechanical surface texturing of engineering surfaces. The second part deals with the particular design of the device. It also describes the strength control of loaded components. The economic evaluation is given at the end.

Methods for improving frictional features of rubbing surfaces
Fojtík, Jakub ; Černý, Michal (referee) ; Šamánek, Otakar (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes several methods of improving surface's tribological properties. There are many forms of tribological processes, depending on structure, geometry, material properties, relative motion and loading of system elements. The main aim is to minimize wear and friction. It can be controlled by improving surface structure, geometry and by increasing of surface roughness with coating deposition methods, chemical-heat treatment and surface texturing. These methods can be also used for reparation of degraded rubbing surfaces or for surface modification in order to establish suitable lubrication conditions. An introduction to micro/nanotribology and tribological processes in micro/nanoscale is also described in this study.

Experimental apparatuses for studying rolling contact fatigue life
Popelka, Ondřej ; Nevrlý, Josef (referee) ; Šamánek, Otakar (advisor)
The bachelor thesis consist the overview of experimental fatigue apparatuses that are designated for the lifecycle fatigue study of machine parts. It describes two basic devices, discs machines and rolling element machines. The specific of these devices is their use for study of fatigue damage resistance of machinery materials. Their disadvantage is non-complexity and limited possibility of usage. They are designed for basic tribological research (e.g. point contact, line contact, etc.). Complex experimental fatigue apparatuses are often expensive so they can’t be used in regular study.

Design of injection mold via Autodesk Inventor
Křížka, David ; Šamánek, Otakar (referee) ; Paloušek, David (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with the design solution of injection mold for the roofing via software modul Autodesk Inventor - Tooling. In the reserche´s part of my bachelor thesis, the basic design and technological elements for the proposal of the injection mold are described. The separate construction design is divided into two parts. The first part deals with the description of each functions of the software modul Autodesk Inventor - Tooling. The second part of the construction design focuses on the proposal of 3D model plastic part and injection mold in Autodesk Inventor - Tooling. In conclusion, the assembly drawings of the injection mold is created.
