Chinese green concern: analysis of environmental provisions in investment treaties

The purpose of this thesis is to offer a complex analysis of newly rising concept of the environmental provisions, with a particular emphasis on China and its deteriorating state of environment. The thesis is composed of eight chapters. The first chapter deals with the core problem of the environmental provisions, that is the colliding nature of the efforts to implement the environmental regulation in the international investment law. The following two chapters address the legal framework of the environmental provisions and the main actors in the field. Chapter four is concerned with the analysis of the material and formal sources of Chinese domestic environmental and investment law, which has been amended recently in reaction to the dramatically deteriorating environment in the country and which prompted the proliferation and greenization of the Chinese bilateral investment treaties. Chapter five proceeds with the analysis of the environmental provisions, their genesis, terminological delimitation and introduction of their typologies. The sixth chapter is dedicated to the analysis of the approach of China towards environmentally responsible investing. The proposal of cultural tourism development in the selected area of the upper Vltava identifies market opportunities of cultural tourism in the region, determines the optimal technical and the property providing for the project and defines the financial options. The aim of the project is the development of cultural tourism, the highlighting of the area and in the future, an attracting new participants in cultural tourism by untraditional way and the promotion of artistic creation.

Cultural heritage and development of tourism in selected upper Vltava region

This bachelor thesis refers to heritage, heritage tourism, cultural heritage. Visiting historic and cultural sites is one of the most popular tourist activities today. The thesis deals with the evaluation of the present status and posibilities of developement of cultural heritage in the headwaters of the Vltava River area. For this evaluation was found out informations about preconditions of cultural heritage, the potential of the area, motives for visiting the area and the image of historical monuments. There was used a marketing research with face-to-face questioning with 1584 informants. Marketing research´s results show what reasons have informants for travelling on holiday in the Czech Republic and show that exists differences in image of activities and sites. it represents what an awareness have informants about the area.
