Po provedených řízeních vydal rektor Univerzity Karlovy rozhodnutí č. j. UKRUK/10207/2018-3, že součást státní zkoušky, obhajoba diplomové práce s názvem "Římská říše a křesťanství - od pronásledování ke státnímu náboženství" konaná dne 26. 9. 2017, je neplatná. Dnem, kdy rozhodnutí nabylo účinnosti, pozbyl účastník řízení vysokoškolského vzdělání získaného studiem daného studijního oboru a akademického titulu magistr. Dále pozbyly platnosti vysokoškolský diplom a dodatek k diplomu. Adversus nationes by Arnobius of Sicca and Octavius by Minucius Felix

African teacher of rhetoric Arnobius of Sicca, who lived at the turn of the 3rd and 4th century, is one of the less known Christian authors. He is the author of Christian apology written in Latin called Adversus nationes. His statement attracted particular interest of philologists and historians of antiquity, because it contains large amounts of mythological material. The aim of this work is to introduce Arnobius not only as a crucial source of pagan theology, but also as an important Christian witness of the complicated religious - political situation of Christianity in the time before the Milan Edict, particularly at the time of Diocletian's persecution of Christians. Given the need to work with original texts includes this thesis also the first Czech translation of Arnobiusʼ apology.

Reflection of paganism by Minucius Felix and his predecessors The main topic of the work is the analysis of the theological horizon of the lesser-known Christian apologist Marcus Minucius Felix. His only surviving work, the dialogue Octavius, represents a completely unique type of argument in favor of the Christian religion in the pagan world, based on philosophy. In addition to the translation and analysis of the text itself, the thesis deals with the characteristics of the author himself, his literary intention, setting in the context of the apologetic literature (in this respect, the research was primarily shaped by the dispute over primacy in the field of Latin apologetics between Minucius and Tertullian). The theological analysis is not possible without a content analysis of both the text itself and the historical and cultural context. The author's own translation, presented in the form of Latin-Czech bilingua, is supplemented, in addition to brief explanatory notes, by a study with a theologically focused analysis, which is still lacking in Czech. Thascius Caecilius Cyprianus: O hněvu a závisti Thascius Caecilius Cyprianus: On Jealousy and Envy ThDr. Ladislava Říhová, Ph.D. The aim of this diploma thesis was to undertake a critical reflection of one of the lesser known works of the Bishop of Carthago, Thascius Caecilius Cyprianus. This is the writing De zelo et livore - On Jealousy and Envy. The position of this text, not only in the context of another Cyprian's work, but also in the context of his other life's destiny, is so controversial, that we considered as necessary to subject the circumstances of its genesis to the necessary historical analysis. It is, together with information about Cyprian's life and work, the main content of Section I. This is followed by the actual text of De zelo et livore, which is presented in the work in the form of a clear Latin-Czech bilingual text with regard to the fact that the Czech translation of the writing is not still at diposal. The translation is provided by an introduction to the historical circumstances of the genesis (chapter 4) and by a treatise about the literary genre and structure of the text, as well as by the necessary critical apparatus.
