Nedvědová, Adéla ; Čechová, Veronika (referee) ; Ambrůz, Jan (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is a conceptual work concerned with urban and natural aesthetics. It is based on several interventions in the “terrain vague” close to the author´s residence. The work uses symbolism of tourism and touristic activities that invite the new take on neighboring but neglected spaces. These interventions are not very spectacular, but it is the urban context that makes them unusual.

The aesthetic appreciation of Nature from the point of view of contemporary environmental aesthetics
Čechová, Veronika ; Dadejík, Ondřej (advisor) ; Kaplický, Martin (referee)
The thesis is dealing with contemporary environmental aesthetics. The main part consists of an overview and comparison of modern theories of this relatively recently formed discipline. The starting point is the work of the founder of the contemporary aesthetic approach to evaluating nature and member of the Anglo-American aesthetic tradition, Ronald W. Hepburn. Subsequently, the theories of two major figures in contemporary Anglo-American environmental aesthetics: Allen Carlson and Malcolm Budd are presented. The main objective is to trace the basic lines of thought based on Hepburn's work dealt with in the work of other environmental aestheticians (the comparison of evaluation of works of art and natural aesthetic objects, superficial and deep evaluation of natural beauty, the possibility of aesthetic criticism of natural beauty, etc.). Even classical aesthetic theories of natural beauty are reflected in the work to the needed extent, as these are the background of current developments in environmental aesthetics. Key words Hepburn, Carlson, Budd, environmental aesthetics, comparison, cognitivism, aesthetic appreciation, environmental aesthetic model, nature

Prostitution from the viewpoint of demand (analysis of web pages of prostitutes' clients)
ČECHOVÁ, Veronika
This submitted thesis with the title Prostitution from the viewpoint of demand (analysis of web pages of prostitutes' clients) is focused on the reflection of women working in the sexual business by their clients - "norniks" - men, who are using commercial sexual services, and who also participates in the discussion at the website www.nornik.net. The thesis is divided in two parts: theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part defines the concept of prostitution, and is further dedicated to the types of female prostitution. It briefly describes the history of prostitution, as well as the prostitution in the territory of the Czech Republic, and also reflects the change of the czech sexual scene. In the following chapters of the theoretical part I defined the typology of prostitutes, the typology of prostitution, and specified the typology of female prostitution in detail. I also looked into men as actors in the sexual business, depicted them as prostitutes' clients and customers. In the last chapter of the theoretical part the thesis describes the website forum www.nornik.net. The research section deals with a description of the methodology of the research itself, interpreting and presenting research results. With regard to an objective of this thesis and specificity of the research sample I have chosen a strategy of qualitative research. As a research method, I have used a qualitative-interpretative secondary analysis of documents. When examining the reflection of women's language means by men-?norniks?, elements of discourse analysis were used. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the reflection of women working in the sexual business by their clients who at the same time discuss their experiences on the website www.nornik.net. Out of the above objective I have determined the following question: How are women working in the sex industry reflected by clients? The fundamental target file is created by contributions of users from website www.nornik.net. This group is highly specific, especially because it is closed to the mainstream society and puts a high emphasis on anonymity. The research for this thesis was carried out from January to April 2013. The data extracted from the analysis of individual discussions has been processed by the method of making clumps. As has emerged from the analysis of the website when making a research, men - ?norniks? consider sex as a merchandise and commodify female body, which is evident from the evaluation and appellation of women working in the sexual business. Experienced ?norniks? appreciate such women who make their living by providing sexual services mainly for being skilled, likeable and for having good manners. At repeated meetings, such qualities trumps the physical attractiveness, which is of course important and also decisive at the first date. Rating and naming of women working in the sexual business varies depending on where the women work. An interesting discovery was that some ?norniks? consider sexual services as the easiest and cheapest way to satisfy their sexual needs. This finding is also closely related to the description of motivation for immersion. For ?norniks?, commercial sex becomes a certain kind of addictive behaviour, they have higher sexual appetite or seek for something new and uncommon or want to realize their sexual imagination. In this thesis should be a reflection of women working in the sexual business via their clients. At the same time it should be understood that also men as customers are participants of the sexual business. With regard to the fact that the issue was not further examined at the target file, it can be a source of information to the professional public. This thesis can also be an important source of information to the non-professional public and last but not least it can become a basis for further research.
Perception of social standards and social pathology by Romani children of lower school age
ČECHOVÁ, Veronika
This bachelor thesis points out selected social pathological phenomena and their perception by Romani and non-Romani children of lower school age. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical parts. In the theoretical part I first focused on definition of the standard and the value system of the Romani. Then I concentrated on the term social pathology and I specify selected social pathologies, namely the terms aggressiveness, alcoholism, smoking, pathological gambling, theft and drugs, and relation of the Romani minority to these social pathological phenomena. In the last part I deal with a lower school age child, his/her physical, mental and social development. A characteristic of a Romani child is also a part of this chapter. The aim of the research performed was to find whether perception of selected social pathologies by Romani children differs from perception of these social pathologies by non-Romani children of younger school age. I used the methods and techniques of qualitative research in the practical part, namely the method of questioning and technique of semi-structured interview. The research sample consisted of ten Romani children of younger school age, a complementary sample consisted of ten non-Romani children of younger school age. The research was performed at two primary schools in Jindřichův Hradec. The research led to a finding what relation Romani children of younger school age have to selected social pathologies compared to non-Romani children of younger school age, what their approach to addiction is and whether the selected social pathological phenomena occur in the respondents? families. The results of the research confirm that permanent cooperation on preventive programmes for young people at primary schools and youth centres is necessary, particularly focusing on Romani pupils and their families, where social pathological phenomena occur. Introduction of preventive programmes into practice not only with the assistance of teachers, but also of the wide public, would make the beginning of puberty easier for children of younger school age, without threatening external influences.
