Education Requirements of the Air Law and Regulations for Air Transport Pilots

This bachelor thesis deals with comparison of old and new regulations for the education of transport pilots in the subject Air law and regulations. At the begining of the work is a brief description of JAR-FCL regulation and the EU - Part-FCL regulation and documents for the purposes of theoretical knowledge of transport pilots. The following section compares the regulation devided into three parts and defines the differences during development of the regulations. The last part contains a summary and proposal of a new syllabus in subject Air law and regulations.

Methods, inspection and maintenance procedures of airport operating areas

The present final thesis is dealing with the analysis of the operating surface types and the methods used in the monitoring and maintenance of airport operating areas. The introduction of the thesis consists of the presentation of the operating areas and types of surfaces used at the airport. The following chapters are focused on typical pavement surface defects, and their monitoring and maintenance methods. The last part is aimed at comparing the maintenance programs of the Prague airport and of the Ostrava airport resulting in designing of an optimal control system of the operating areas.
