Automatic switch between mains and accumulator power supply
Šišák, Dalibor ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Kubánek, David (advisor)
This work deals with the solution of automatic switch between mains and accumulator power supply. For simplicity, versatility and variability of the device is controlled by a programmed microcontroller from Texas Instruments series MSP430G. Because one of the requirements is supply the device from battery power, the work deals with a design of the device, but also the selection of appropriate components with favorable characteristics such as low self-consumption or power dissipation. It also discusses how to protect the switching elements and the entire plant, converter for solar battery charging and the possibility of interaction with the user in the form of an information display and keyboard.
Control of Positioning System for Acoustical Measerements
Pytela, Ondřej ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with issues of remotely controlled positioning system which uses stepper motors ILS1R573PB1A0 to drive linear axes Beger Lahr PAS41BR. Stepper motors contains RS485 interface for comunication with other devices so appropriate converter was made to make a connection with personal computer via USB port. The main objective was to develop control application by using MDC_ActiveX library and development environment Visual Basic 6.
Heart Rate Variability Measurement Device
Süss, Ivo ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Strašil, Ivo (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to develop a device that will receive the signal from sporttester belt and then that signal will be processed. The meter is based on development kit STM32 Primer 2. To receive signals from sporttester belts uses sensor RMCM-01 Polar. The meter allows measurement of parameters of heart variability, recording on a memory card and work with the measured data from the memory card.
Automation of Noise Measurements Using XL2 Sounl Level Meter
Švihálek, Filip ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis focuses on noise measurement, characterizes used quantities and uncertainties due to the measument of these quantities. The goal is to develop application, which will automate measurement with sound level meter XL2. Automation will use text output of the XL2 and modul for Remote Measurement. Application is developed in development environment Visual Basic for Applications.
Automation of measurement of disturbance influence on xDSL technologies
Röszler, Pavel ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Šilhavý, Pavel (advisor)
This work focuses on interference of DSL transmission, measurement and testing with Spirent noise generator and injection unit. Deals with proposition of automated measurement of transmission bit rate dependency on wireline lenght and noise type and level. In theoretical part are described ADSL technology and noise types. Following part focuses on measurement setup and description of wireline simulator units E414 and 8234, gene- rator DLS-5800 a injection unit DLS-5410DC by Spirent company. Main part describes generator and injection unit control software and remote control commands, which are used for automated measurement. There are also described xDSL Measure tool software, which is using for automated measurement with wireline simulators and upgrade, which implements remote communication with generator a injection unit, for remote control and automatic changing noise types generated at the output.
Modernization of the master clock for slave clocks controlling
Pokorný, Jiří ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
This diploma thesis describes modernization of the master clock HN 50 created by company ELEKON, s.r.o. Master clock can be used for controlling of analog or digital slave clock or for switching school bells. Exact differences between old and new version of the clock are described and ways of synchronization and controlling of slave clock are explained. Main goal of modernization is applying the SMT technology for automation of production. Another problems and shortcomings of previous version are developed, such as new power supply structure, selection of a new microcontroller and usage of several different displays. Every problem is developed and new solutions are chosen. Last part of the document describes the software which is clarified on several flowcharts. Outputs of the thesis are complete schematics, printed circuit boards and 3D models of the modernized device.
Design of optical amplifier
Somora, Rastislav ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Slavíček, Karel (advisor)
This Bachelor's thesis deals with design and construction of support circuits for a modern optical amplifier the SOA. In the first chapter, optical transmitting medium with its physical properties and types of used cabels is described. The overview includes a list of optical cables, their damping properties and parasitic effects which can occur durring comunication. Next chapter is focused on the optical signal sources used in modern data networks, describes their internal structure and physical essence. Third chapter is dedicated to designing the optical amplifier with the SOA circuit. It focuses on the right choice of parts, their arrangement and layout of the design. Last chapter deals with set up, calibration and control of the optical amplifier module.
Laboratory exercises making use of the industrial sensor system ADAM
Mixa, Jan ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Rampl, Ivan (advisor)
The main Objective of the Bachelor Thesis is to familiarize with industry sensor system. The whole system is based on Modules ADAM 4000, RS 485 Bus, a Personal Computer with RS 232 Bus. It is important to understand how the system works and what method of communication is between system components. For this Purpose are designed two laboratory tasks. The first task is „Thermal quantity sensor“, for this task is used a development environment designed directly for ADAM modules – ADAMview. The second task is called „ADAM ASCII protocol“. Sensor System with ADAM modules provides simplicity, comfort and precision of measurements.
Model of transmission channel for xDSL systems
Jedlička, Zdeněk ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor thesis introduces the xDSL systems, shows the distribution of group members to symmetric and asymmetric, and shows the possibility of modeling the transmission channel for xDSL systems. It also gives ways you can get primary and secondary cable parameters and shows the potential of simulation. These parameters are used to calculate the transfer function, embedded input impedance and attenuation using the program, which is an integral part of this work.
Electronic thermostat
Flek, Tomáš ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
In essence, this thesis focuses on a search for an optimal measuring method suitable for converting a temperature measurement into an electrical signal that can be processed easily in the other parts of the electrical circuit. The selection of the measurement method was guided by the need to find one suitable for the temperature range in question. For each method there are different temperatures sensors, each with different parameters. This thesis covers in detail the various kinds of temperature sensors and notes their advantage and disadvantage, accuracy, repeatability, non-linearity, longevity, and purchasing price. The thesis also investigates how to cope with non-linearity of the selected temperature sensor while also listing various methods for non-linearity compensation and their effect on the overall measuring. A part of the thesis presents a design of a suitable thermostat that was selected on the basis of this work to provide suitable measuring properties and be most cost effective.
